Waiting for the Ireland-Scotland of course.

Must win game for Scotland I just think Ireland will have to much for them. Hope I haven’t put the mokkers on it

After that first try Scotland really had a go but somehow Ireland came back and are rocking it at the moment

Thought Scotland started well but yet again pooped the bed when they got anywhere near irelands 22.
Ireland have been phenomenal, I’ll be really surprised if they don’t win it.

Farrell has done such a great job with Ireland, I remember when he came in for Schmidt and within a few months he looked way out of his depth but they’ve gone to a different level over the last couple of seasons.
No chance of nicking Farrell back is there along with Edwards?!🤣

Great game! So much more pleasing on the eye than 24 hrs ago!
I think everyone wrote this off as a banker for Fiji, amazing how close they actually came to not making it through and us facing the Aussies.
What a horrible game that would have been!

So what does everyone think on the Quarters?

Dawson went for a clean sweep from the Northern Hemisphere team but I think that's a massive shout.

For me:

England v Fiji - Suspect England might grind this out with Fiji already showing what happens to them when under the cosh a bit. But if Fiji can get a few tries, I'm not sure I fancy England to do the same.

Wales v Argentina - Wales have been relatively impressive so far at the World Cup whilst Argentina have been pretty poor. I'll probably go with Wales but I wouldn't be surprised to see them implode.

Ireland v All Blacks - Sheesh where do you go on this one? Smart money says Ireland based on the last 2 years, but I fancy the All Blacks to really put Ireland under pressure and then that concern from always blowing up at tournaments could come into it for Ireland. Give me New Zealand as my one underdog pick.

South Africa v France - Almost equally as tough to call. I think France, with the crowd behind them, will edge this but a lot depends on that French mentality. They've been pretty imperious so far but if they don't get it 100% we know the Boks will punish them. I'll take France.

Ultimately I suspect the first two semi-finals above are largely irrelevant to who gets to the final, which is a shame and something the authorities need to think about in terms of seedings for future tournaments.
