I'm not saying it's necessarily the wrong call. I'm just disappointed the most important game in rubgy is gonna be decided by a decision that could have gone either way.

Agree it's disappointing but you sort of have to blame the player there

I think the laws around head-contact are flawed but that one wasn't really contentious IMO

I agree it was more a red than a yellow, though the guy did change direction just before the hit. Kane was upright though and that's on him.

I think the frustration comes because rugby is quite obvously an incredibly physical game where every tackle counts, but where there is also now the highest level of responsibilty placed on the tackler for their opponents safety.

So the challenge is to hit hard, under enormous pressure, at high speed, but also with very little margin for error. I don't ever see there being a rowing back on the thresholds - in fact I think they'll get more tight - so cards of both colours are going to be a more regular occurance. 15 v 15 is just how games will start, but rarely finish.

I don't think Kolisi should be off there but when you look back at Curry's red against the Pumas, I'm not sure what the difference is.
