Vickery is a self confessed Spurs fan.

Maybe he's keeping a lid on it in case he boks it?
He is a 'fan' but from personal experience, doesn't follow the club- indeed the first time he spoke about Leandro he was informed of the links by the producer of the talksport show at the time

Is it? I could easily see SAF purchasing fully fit THudd if price was right.

I don't think so personally. He's a good player but not a great player and would have been in his element 20,30 years ago but the way football is in the modern era he lacks the main ingredients in pace and agility to be a top player. Utd wouldn't buy him and i'm happy for him to move on as i just don't see him giving us what we need in midfield, someone who can win a game and also stop the opposition. Maybe he develops over this season in a tough physical team but i doubt we'll see him at spurs again.

People are forgetting that JJ has said that he actually believes Damiao will be a spurs player. It was a tweet a while ago. But he did say it. WE GOT THIS ;P

JJ said he thinks Damiao will be signed, meaning the deal is making good progress. He didn't say it is done, like he did with Adebayor.

It appears that the sticking point is the fee we need to pay Internacional. Simply put, if we don't meet their valuation, we don't get the player. The signs are now pointing to Damiao himself pushing for a move, which will help us, but their chairman could possibly play hardball, and Levy refuse to stump up an unrealistic fee, in which case we could end up empty handed.

Why so glum? We already have three players in a similar position to M'Vila surely? Not saying he may not be an upgrade but he's far from a priority surely?

Would be a shame if the scum got him though as I think he's exactly what they need.

I agree, also, I think he might turn out to be a liability. He has form, a la joey barton, for his off field antics. I reckon he would turn out to be more trouble than he is worth. Well, if he goes to the goons then I hope so!

;)

Also there are apparently third party ownership matters that need to be adressed. Thats something that needs to be banned from football altogether but that is for another thread.

The problem is Inter's president moving the goal posts and at the moment, there hasn't been any encouraging noises regarding this deal from the main people involved.

Considering we have a partnership with Inter I don't think their president has ever had a positive word to say about us. When PSG and Milan were linked with Leandro he seemed to welcome the interest but with us he just takes great pleasure in telling the media how they have rejected our bids.

This is why I struggle to see the player joining us.

Wishful thinking, they are finally prepared to let him go, but want him for that game.

Realistic thing, they are just pissing us about again.

I'm amazed we even agreed on becoming a partnership in the first place and fuck know's how we got Sandro for what we paid them!
