being homegrown and club trained is the only plus for me
I think the club trained issue is especially going to be a tricky one. Essentially I don’t think we are in a position we can currently sell Skipp because of it. KWP whilst not a particularly exciting target does make sense from a squad building perspective.

I think come summer we are going to need to balance our targets and use our non HG spots for the players in areas that are most beneficial to the starting 11. With that in mind a player like KWP, who is HG and club trained, as a back up option might be a sensible move even if he isn’t necessarily the best possible player we could get for the position.

In the grand scheme of things I think a player like KWP would be more useful than Skipp say. Maybe eventually when the likes of Donley or Moore are viable options then we won’t need to look for players like KWP but I think both will be a few years away from getting regular minutes in the PL.

Anyway I’m not necessarily say we should get KWP but I can certainly see the logic in doing so.

Ola Aina at Forest has been good for them this year despite them being defensively poor. Right footed but plays LB & RB, homegrown and good dribbling , take-on and tackling stats. Nigeria international - contract expires this summer I believe.

Was pretty good at Fulham too.

Not so sure. Have a feeling they aren't as far away as you think.

That would be great if that’s the case. Considering how little Donley has featured i was assuming that he would need a loan next season and Gold was saying Moore despite training with the first team for a week was going to be moved to the under 21’s before anything.

I guess considering we are supposedly looking for another CB instead of giving Phillips a spot who has looked good on loan I was just assuming that our current crop wouldn’t be getting a look in any time soon but that would be excellent if what you suggest is more the case. I know Phillips isn’t left footed but still.

For club trained, I dont mind couple of left field options -
i) getting David Button (3rd keeper) - experienced pro played over 400 games. For me better option than Whiteman or Austin
ii) KWP - I think we can sell Emerson for KWP. He is more suited to Ange tactics.
iii) Winks - I like Winks back (if we sell Skipp for good amount). But I also think most fans wont like it.

I think bentaleb would be more realistic than button.
I wonder how good josh keeley is doing at Barnet, and if he’s become third choice keeper any time soon

There are only 4 club trained senior players (i.e. above 21) now, Skipp, Whiteman, Austin and Parrott. As Parrott is likely to leave in summer, we may need to register an U21 for European competition or we will need to find one in the market. Sadly there aren't many Spurs graduates playing at high level now...
Smith (RB/LB) - Bournemouth (PL)
KWP (RB/LB) - Southampton (Championship)
Winks (CM) - Leicester (Championship)
Luongo (DM/CM) - Ipswich (Championship)
Cirkin (LB/CB) - Sunderland (Championship)
Bentaleb (DM/CM) - Lille (Ligue 1)
Mundle (RW) - Sunderland (Championship)
Edwards (RW) - Sporting (Liga Portugal)
Pritchard (AM) - Birmingham (Championship)
Townsend (RW) - Luton (PL)
Livermore (DM) - Watford (Championship)
Binks (CB) - Coventry (Championship) (on loan from Bologna)
Vigouroux (GK) - Burnley (PL) *hasn't played since joined
Hall (CB) - Rotherham (Championship)
Ball (CB/DM) - Ipswich (Championship) *only played 541 minutes this season
Veljkovic (CB) - Werder Bremen (Bundesliga)
Onomah (CM) - Preston (Championship)
Kane (ST) - Bayern (Bundesliga)

I think most of us would agree that apart from Kane none of the above would be good enough for us to compete at the highest level. Or we may ask Bale to sign a short term contract with us, like Scholes did after his retirement...:X3:

Keeley joined us from an Irish team, and there is not enough time for him to become homegrown before he turns 21

I'd have a look at Doughty from Luton at LB. He's 24 and available on a free in the Summer and plays LB and LM so could suit our role.

Nothing against Davies just forward planning due to his age and a 'free' replacement.
When he played against us at our ground he was good going forward but poor in defence.

This a list in bullet point/paragraph form made up entirely of mediocre players who won't ever be in form!

I hope this is an attempt at humour.

I have a feeling Joshua Zirkzee may be the striker we go for. Young, playing well in Italy, was at one point considered a pretty darn good prospect, and he just looks the part for me in this system.

Works hard, likes to be involved, mobile, putting together some really well-rounded performances in a good league. I could see Ange looking at him and thinking there’s a real diamond yet to uncover. I’m sure there will be a lot of competition for him, however.

Oh yes, the Dutch #9 who plays for Bologna and was born in Schiedam, Netherlands. I know him.

Does Madueke count as club trained? Not saying I’d want him but I think he was with us for the necessary three seasons.

Bologna are up to 4th which is very impressive as they are a relatively small team. A few of their players might be worth looking at.

Lewis Ferguson is an interesting option. He usually plays as the most attacking midfielder for Bologna but is more of a box to box midfielder. His technique is perhaps limited but he's very efficient and effective at what he does and has linked play well for Bologna whilst also leading their high press. He has tremendous physicality and football intelligence. He quite often makes late runs into the box and has 6 goals this season on top of 9 last.
Sadly, he's picked up an injury that rules him out for the rest of the season and Euros.
I accept, there are more talented players out there but his physicality in attacking areas could make up for that.
