Guess we expected that and at least gives us the chance to try bag some more points from Villa before we give them back to the Scum and Ruski's later. Roll on the summer when we can get rid and rebuild with a better wing & front line attack

Poor ol Leicester .... 9 !!! could have been us for a tanking.

It's hard to believe we lost to Leicester in the Cup; though, of course that day, it was largely down to our usual lack of finishing.
I saw the goals and assist charts earlier and Williams with 4 goals is our only player in the top 25 goal chart. She's also the only one in the assists top 25 with a mighty 2 assists.
It's crazy that we are 5th in the table with those stats after 16 games, but our lofty position shows that our defence has been very solid this campaign. We need to find a goalscorer or two for next season. In the meantime I hope Tang gets a chance up front with Williams and Simon just behind her.
If we beat Villa then, perhaps, it's also time to try out Izzy Lane on the wing as we should be looking to the future; especially as our last 4 matches are likely to be over a 15 day period and the whole squad will need to be utilized.

Woo! Last game of the season at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - hopefully a good finish... who's coming then? Leicester too.

The ladies deserve a good final sendoff - hopefully 5th at worse .. we will need to keep bagging points from 3 out of the remaining 6th though if we want to keep it.
I still hope they have the balls to have another massive clearout even though new contracts offered to Ayanne/Percival only last year.... we need a much improved wing/front line. Get yer wallet out Levy and go get some from PSG and Barca or tempt Miedema to change colours with a top offer.

Fingers crossed for today against Villa ... we will need to nuet Scott in midfield and Lehmann on the wing and we may have a chance .. but all depends yet again on whether we can find the net as this is our problem every game - total panic when the white posts come into view. We have to change this for the remaining 6 games and it starts NOW please.
We need Korpella in goal pls and pls do not play Ayanne ... I'd rather like to see Tang and Simon be given a chance. Play Schnaderbach at left back and put Harrop on the left wing. Ale on the right with Neville on the wing.

I like your team (something needs to change to see more goals scored) but knowing Skinner expect Spencer, Percival and Williams to be in rather than Korpela, Schnaderbech and Tang. However, some may not have recovered from covid which could lead to some unexpected choices, I suppose.

And I was right (well, almost); as Ale is not needed and Naz is back. It's not hard to work out who Skinner will pick.
However, the last 5 games over a 16 day period means she'll surely have to make a few changes from her favored players then.

The first 30 mins has been awful .. panic play as usual and Neville !!! the worst Ive seen her play thus far .. so many poor decisions with the ball

a bench of 5 incl Korpella dont help neither ... where are they all !!!! .... Naz is useless (sorry but that is how I see it) ... the front line have no clue at the moment how to break into a goal score chance. Free kicks have been wasteful at best

Have to say - that was a really poor effort from our team - RS has not set this team up well at all -sorry.
Harrop cannot cope with the speed of Lehmann but the defense have been lucky enough to keep them out thus far - but they look like they will get the better chance than us at the moment. We are so wasteful.

They are a physical bunch for sure

We look like we're a 4-6-0 formation. Williams is playing the Kane role without being upfront so we need someone upfront! Simon is looking better each game but we need a forward to pass to. I'd bring on Tang for Percival.

Yeah, they strung a few neat passes together early on and are a tough lot. It's gonna be close.
I like their goalie more than our two. She seems quite cocky in a I-know-I'm-good way, but has grown on me over the two games this season.

Good point Gary ... Percival Neville Naz all poor performances first half ... would consider Green and throw up Summanen but she doesnt like physical games so that would be a bad choice. Tang yes - worth a try but I think our weakness is Harrop and Neville at the back - one bad mistake and we will lose a lone goal for sure. They both are caught out of position too much. As for Williams ... all huff and puff no end product. She is over the hill I'm afraid and we need better ... try Tang ffs.

Knowing Skinner Tang will get 10 minutes or so.
Ayanne is being Ayanne (not bringing much to the game)...it's gonna be 0-0 isn't it.

We will lose this now that Scott has come on and we have taken Summanen off ... but boy we are really poor this game. We are like a bottom 5 team not a top 5 team

That was the worst performance this season against a poor side .. almost as bad as against Leicester in the cup.
Ayanne Naz Percival Williams Neville - all so poor and nothing on the bench to make any real difference.
We needed those points and that will more likely lose us 5th place now as it's all downhill from here on in.
