Emma Sanders does a huge summary article every window. Mentioned us wanting firepower up top (obviously) and defensive depth. Individual midfield names also included. Names with a link to Spurs in the article: Beth England (willing to pay fee), Nikita Parris, Drew Spence and Jill Scott.

Thks Ben - was a really interesting read
For me not sure Jill Scott would bring much bar height in the box and she recently turned us down in January (that has to say something) but would think Parris/England even Spence and any of the 3 Citeh leavers would liven up the front area.
Green possibly going to Leicester would be a good fit for her as her days were numbered. As for giving Williams a new deal - I think we should wait and see who else we can attract before giving a front line squad position away so quickly.... maybe Ellen White might also become avaiable and she and England would transform us for sure. Williams gives all that I agree but there are better players out there and we need better. I thought giving Harrop a new deal was rather hasty as again we needed better and these were the 3 contracts were up this year as per your list.

This would only leave those with 1 year options that have not been exercised as yet (Naz Ayanne Addison Clemaron Percival Korpela Cho) - for sure some of these need moving on to make room for new better blood. Be interested to see if RS can be ruthless for once - for example "whats happened to Ubogagu?" and can we cancel her contract - what really has she brought to our club!

We also have to keep tabs on what Manure and Pool do in the window (who are they linked with?)
these are the teams we need to ensure we sign better to try go for 4th next season.
I feel we for sure should have a team as good as Manure to be able to compete next season but it is too easy for Citeh players to just swop blue for red and stay in situ but would the Red/Blue of London switch to Enfield? - remains to be seen.

Citeh wont let Jill Scott join us on loan - about right I guess cos they want us to fail and fall back. Good to see we are still in the mix for new better signings though - we def need them if we want to make and sustain a push for top 4 again for the second part of the season.
Hey Delboy, you previously mentioned Scott wasn't allowed to join us. That may be why we are now interested as she's out of contract. She's 35 but would bring a good winners mentality.

Yes you are right Gary ... thats is what was said on the possible transfer report in January but she didnt bring much to the Villa team in her 6 month loan and Summanen in the end proved to be a good aquisition. Will be interesting to see what happens. Would love to know how we source players.
I was desperate for changes especially up front and RS did very little about that and I still believe that was our downfall from 3rd and having one of the smallest squads (especially after so many long term injuries).
Kristie Mewis was also reported as being interested in moving to Spurs but nothing came of that neither.
Last year we moved on 11 on the 25th of this month ... I still think we have around 6-7 poor players still under some sort of limited contract.

No comment on the squad stuff, as I disagree fully, but we've covered that.

I'd love England, would add so much if she were available and the fact we're willing to pay is positive.

To your last point, its another case of where we just see the game differently. No City player (Weir, Stanway, Bronze) is going to United (or Tottenham, which you crazily mentioned earlier) as a logical move rn. They will either stay at City or move abroad. Bronze to America, Stanway to Bayern, Weir to Real Madrid. There's far more evidence that a gooner will come to us, almost half our squad seem to have been on their books!

Yep Ben .. I was just saying if they were settled in Manchester a switch would be easier - guess the ladies dont mind new pastures just that rents in London are sky high - unless the club helps with that. Have to agree though good players coming to us are more likely get a regular game and that has to be a big plus.

Stanway from Citeh to Bayern all done - well that didnt take long
and it seems Weir Walsh and Bronze to Real Madrid soon as well
The Big clubs dont hang about like we do..... guess we have to wait until the food has been served and see what is left.

Get rid - pay her off and send her back from whence she came ... she didnt do much when she did play
Oh you really are a detestable character aren't you

Literally the only forum with a half decent Spurs women section and you get 'fans' saying players should be 'sent back from whence they came'...grand that

Away from DS, I'm glad the club has managed the situation sensibly and with a good understanding. Said before, it makes a huge difference in the womens game to show personal touch with injuries and situations like this. Will have a positive impact on recruiting and keeping quality players.

Chi made a minor error that escalated, her side of the story is a fascinating read (avaiable on her SM platforms). Very harshly done, athough thats the rules. Personally glad we will see her on the pitch again soon. Exciting, if slightly frustrating player, who played a large part during our most successful spell this season. All during her first season at the club, but settling in seems alien to some.

I've just read her story - such an easy silly mistake to make, now everything makes sense why she disappeared as well. That must be tough, not even being able to train with her team - hopefully she'll come back stronger and better once the ban is over. Thank goodness it was as low as it was, it could have been so much worse. I have to say as well, it sounds like we have a great supportive team behind her too.

Enjoyed the Women's CL Final yesterday.

Came to the (sad) realization that if our players could shoot, head or pass as well as we saw in that game then they wouldn't actually play for us.

Williams, Green and Addison released, Tang and Schanderbeck gone, everyone else returning.

Mixed feelings personally, but all taking shape for next season
