Mana jumped ship from Woolwich to us. She's clearly got wind of something big in the works.

On loan. She’s a spy.
Well, we've just been shagged by Woolwich

With all due respect to those who consider the womens team to be synonymous I suspect I'm not alone in preferring that people make clear when they are posting about the woman's team (like with the youth team thread) so people can choose to only click on threads interest them/or relate the Tottenham Hotspur team they they grew up 'supporting'?

Could we have a womens team sub-forum please?

I’m sure there is growing interest and these sort of threads will become more regular, having a new sub-forum will make it easier to follow.

Taking my son today, hoping for a good turnout and atmosphere. Any idea how many people usually go to these games?

Way fewer in the stadium than tickets sold. Lots of us got tickets for the original fixture and couldn’t make the rearranged one.

every seat (bar two) in the sections opened up for sale on the website was sold as of 11AM this morning.

We had a good time, shame about the result but a nice introduction to for my son.

Inevitably there was the moany old **** sitting next to us that knew nothing about football but was happy to shit talk all the players.

So, the Women have now lost 9 (yes, nine) on the trot.

Unfortunately, I've not had the time to follow too closely this year, but I was disappointed with Rehanne Skinner's incessant "We'll learn from this..." after every defeat last season, so I wonder what her view of such a run is.

The problems were pretty obvious last season in that they didn't get enough shots on target. It seems that its carried onto this season with 17 goals in 14 games and 8 of those were in one game (the last league game that they won).

Skinner's time is surely up at the end of this season.

Meantime there's a huge game on Wednesday when they're home to current bottom team Leicester so I'll try and tune in.

Relieved of duties sounds harsh, but the actual statement rather less so.

Any watchers of the women's team who can explain what went wrong? Nine defeats in a row is insane.

Andy Rogers, Managing Director, Tottenham Hotspur Women, said: “Since joining us in 2020, Rehanne has played an integral role in our development in the women’s game, both on and off the field. She has carried out her duties with the utmost professionalism and attention to detail, and we should like to thank her for everything she has done for us over the course of her tenure.”

Thought they'd wait until the end of the season or at least Wednesday's game which they can't afford to lose really.

Hopefully this means that they have a succession plan....

I am not surprised one little bit she's gone , nine WSL defeats in a row plus a cup defeat. Every game the same game plan trying to play out from the back with players who are not technically capable of it. If your players haven't got that ability then try something different , more direct maybe , long ball make defenders turn but it was the same every time , just no change in plan.

With the increased resources the club now put into the ladies it's no surprise it also come with stronger sporting demands.
Can't expect to keep her job fighting relegation as a Spurs manager.

Yay they won a game!
Hugely important victory, but it's been a terrible season. 5 points clear of relegation because they beat the bottom team twice by the odd goal. The only other wins have been 1-0 against Liverpool and the anomaly of 0-8 at Brighton.

Sadly the women's game revolves around teams outside the top 4 jostling for the very few good players not wanted by the top 4. Challenging the top 4 will take a lot of money that I very doubt will become available to any other team.

Last season it was obvious that the team lacked the athleticism and shot power and accuracy to trouble the best. It doesn't seem to have improved this season (albeit English has the traits), so it'll be interesting to see what happens with a new manager.
