At a guess id say pic 12 has to be steroid related. That can cause bulging of the veins.

You just can't put into words the respect I have for these guys. They make all other sportsmen seem like pathetic amateurs.

It's quite an interesting race this year, quite hard to call. It's a shame that Bradley Wiggins has crashed out, he might have had a real chance.

The more I watched that Hoogerlands crash the more I couldn't believe how lucky he was to be alive.

These blokes put footballers to shame. What they undertake for their team mates, and even the camaraderie with competitors - it's shame the doping thing has pushed this sport down the TV scheduling roster, because in all other ways it is the most inspiring sport you will ever watch.

Agree with all of that, only I would add that in Norway we're so overjoyed with Hushovd and Hagen's performances that as long as none of them get caught doping we'll watch the Tour regardless of what else happens.

The anti-doping battle has finally started to yield results it seems, the three yellow jersey holders so far this Tour, Gilbert, Hushovd and Voeckler, are all among the most well respected riders in the field for their anti-doping stances. Also only one potential dope case so far this tour with the Russian is a huge improvement on previously.

For a man of Hushvod's build to win a mountain stage is just remarkable. He weighs 17kg more than Contador. That's a he'll of a lot of extra weight on a climb averaging 7/8%.
Back on the flats tomorrow and time for Cav to do his thing!

Voeckler's effort today was magnificent. Thoroughly deserves his jersey.

The way Hushovd blew past the french fella yesterday was awe inspiring. That poor fucker was giving his all for km after km, then Hushovd powers past him like a viking who's just started the race.

Man that HTC team is slick. That was a thing of beauty to watch today. Cavendish finishes it off but the team work that puts him there is magnificent.

Yeah big time...brilliant to watch.

Did anyone watching the Chasing Legends documentary yesterday? Followed the tour and particular the HTC team over the 2009 race. Some of the footage was unreal.

Start of the alps today should mean the race will get even more exciting. I want Voeckler to hold on and win the Yellow Jersey however i feel the Schleck brothers will start some serious attacks either today or tomorrow when the real alp stages start. Evans is also looking fairly strong and if Contador can get back to his old self after the flat stage 15 and the rest day yesterday he will always pose a threat.

Should be a good finish to the tour just a shame wiggins isn't there to mix it up aswell.

Those downhills look fucking perilous. I thought Contador had pulled off a crafty one yesterday, then from out of nowhere the Schleck's and Evans caught them up just before the finish. TV cameras didn't seem to pick it up at all.

They're gradually whittling away Voeckler's lead, it's going to go right to the last race I reckon.

I thought Voeckler was unlucky yesterday. He had to be aggressive with the downhill to ensure he kept in touch with Contador while also trying to put a bit of distance between Cadel and the Schleck brothers.

I agree with al pac as i really don't see Voeckler maintaining his current form over a very difficult and grueling stage today. Looking forward to the highlights tonight to see what happens.

Schleck pulled out all the stops today but it wasn't enough to get rid of Voeckler, can't believe he kept the yellow jersey.
