Don't think there's any need to stir and police, leave that to the mods (the policing that is).

Anyway... James McCarthy anyone?

Arsenal are also long-term admirers of the Everton midfielder, who helped the Toffees to an impressive fifth-place finish in the Premier League in his first season at Goodison Park

EXCLUSIVE
By William Joyce

Manchester United and Tottenham are both ready to test Everton’s resolve over midfielder James McCarthy,Goal understands.

Everton rate McCarthy at £25 million and are keen to open talks with the 23-year-old over a new deal but both United and Spurs are long-term admirers.

The Republic of Ireland international was a target for former Old Trafford manager David Moyes but new boss Louis van Gaal has approved a move for the midfielder.

And Mauricio Pochettino has also given the green light for Spurs to pursue McCarthy after arriving at White Hart Lane at the end of May 2014.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is also an admirer of the former Wigan man, whose stock has risen following an exceptional campaign at Goodison Park last season.

The Gunners could also join the chase for the midfielder should United and Spurs push ahead with offers for the Toffees star.

McCarthy followed Roberto Martinez to Goodison Park from Wigan during the 2013-14 summer transfer window and became a key performer for Everton as they secured a fifth-place finish in the Premier League.

Everton are aware of interest in McCarthy from other clubs and are hoping to tempt the midfielder into signing a new deal.
Please explain to me how this is ITK.

Ever since these threads began, when we're linked to a player, whoever posts the link starts a thread about it to include the link and a portion of the text. These are called the player threads. Once a player thread exists, all future media links are posted within that thread. So in this case, if there isn't a thread already, you start one. If there is, this goes in there.

This is the ITK thread. It's for discussing whatever utterances the ITK have given us. Not the days media speculation, not other teams transfers or whatnot. Just the ITK.

I'm not sure how else to put it. It seems plain and simple enough to me.

If there are any grey areas here, let me know.

PS: There aren't.

Yep. No disappointment about Remy for me.

Davies, Schneiderlin, a CB and LW and i'll be a happy boy.

some guy called endee33 on coys, 9000 posts, i dont know the guy but ppl on coys seem to take it seriously:
Just had a text from a colleague who is good friends with Gary Monk and Leon Britton, "Ben is with Spurs! Inside info. He's with them in Seattle now."

I don't think he's ever been ITK, but equally he's never been prone to lets say wum posts

I imagine they are taking him seriously because he no doubt does happen to know a guy and has heard something that is relevant to us,

I would consider it as very likely and certainly passed on in good faith

Absolutely which is why they have to be so cautious with how they word posts
I think it bears repeating that all ITK comes from very fluid situations. I believe that all ITK is given within the spirit with which it is intended, namely that it is the information currently available to that particular ITK about a player/situation. That situation could change in an hour, but that does not mean the ITK was wrong - only that the situation changed. If you only want only "final" information about a player, wait to read it in a newspaper. If you want hints about what is happening behind the scenes follow the ITK, and understand it's not infallible.
