Lascelles + Musacchio sounds almost excessive. It seems like Kaboul was kept out there for 90 to prove his fitness today, and I'd expect that's because Pochettino wants to know if he should keep him around.

Lascelles IMO is Levy doing what he did with Falque and also what Chelsea so often do. Stockpile young players, send them on loan and see if they sink or swim. There is very little risk associated with such transfers given the rising premium on young players.

We can't. He's not only got two years left on his, English clubs cannot do pre-contracts with rival team players.

It's not confusing if the thought about immediately loaning Lascelles straight back to Forest so we can assess Kaboul's fitness is true.

Perhaps we look to bring on Lascelles and either loan him back to Forest or look to an EPL loan. I know he had interest from QPR but they wouldn't be a good loan idea anymore given their signings of Rio/Caulker.

Probably not much to go by but considering Paulinho is splattered across the OS in next season's shirt at the moment, I'd be surprised if he went anywhere.

The momentum of all this suggests we're well down the road in trying to sign him. Not Every ITK will be privy to all deals and the stages they're at.

I really, really don't want us to sell Chiriches. The Musacchio link is great, know nothing about him but those that have seem to rate him. However to lose Chiriches makes no sense to me. Unless there's more to it he's yet to even have chance to be assessed. I don't see what the issue would be with having Vertonghen, Kaboul, Chiriches and Musacchio as the options. Dier as emergency and then loaned out in Jan. That choice looks far stronger than taking out either Chiriches or Kaboul.
