What's the deal with so many Argentines having Italian passports?

If this deal does go through then most likely Kaboul will be off. Only a year left on his contract and has hardly played in the last 2 seasons.

Same as with Brazilians, there was a large immigration of Italians into Brazil and Argentina when they were under Mussolini. In Brazil most Italians landed in Sao Paulo. From my understanding you can get an Italian passport as long as you have a second degree blood relative with one or who is eligible to get one under their Italian heritage (i.e. Grandparent, Cousin etc...)

A new left back, a back up keeper, a young CH and a first team CH with still the possibility of MS to help instill Poch's philosophy on the pitch. This would be the most positive preseason I remember. All the vibes are about a coherent management team, which is the first in a long time. The objectives should be about establishing a clear playing style and group vision and seeing where that takes us. Too often we appear to have had a 'top four' objective without the proper foundations. Very encouraging.

Have you seen much of him? I'm excited we could be signing a Centre Half but I've never seen this guy play. Looks decent on YouTube but all know how that can fool people.

I saw him a couple of times last season, one when Villarreal played Barca and he looked good. Scored too. Always liked Argentine defenders ever since the beast that was Passarella though, hopefully he can bring some of that cunning and deviousness that the best ones have.

We really must not believe Kaboul will recover to be buying another top quality CB. There also must not be any belief that Chiriches will develop to the required standard. Oh well, in Poch we trust.

Not really with our injury record in that position. The more bodies we can get in there the better.

If we're about to sign Dier, Mussachio and this french prison in the woods kid, surely it's 2 CBs out. Would be nice to replace Dawson, but I wouldn't want to lose Vlad or Kaboom just yet. They both deserve another season in my opinion.

Well we are definately looking to shift Vlad then, probably Dawson too. Not sure making this many signings is a good thing. Too many changes to quick.
