Shaktar signed Ferreyra last month, I didn't even know. Wow, that went on under the radar. Hmmmm, now even the somewhat lesser well known strikers that could improve us are moving, Bony being another one. I think we really need to move quickly now or we will be left scraping the barrel.

Word for word, this is the very brief conversation I just had with a Spurs supporting 'friend' of mine.

Me: Maybe we'll go for Remy.
Him: Don't want Remy, he's shit.
Me: Looks like he's going to Newcastle anyway.
Him: We can't even sign Remy, Levy's a ****.

It's like a real life thread on here.

i have to admit, whenever i've seen soldado he's been very uninvolved but is of course a good finisher.

I think his movement is his best attribute, his intelligence in knowing when to make his runs is what makes him ideal for me. As AVB said yesterday after we drew with Colchester - we need more efficiency in the box and I think Soldado would be the perfect player to provide it. I definitely wouldn't say his all-round game was 'shite' though, think for a relatively small guy he can hold on to the ball well enough etc.

I honestly don't give a shit whether anyone gets on with Ade off the pitch as long as he can contribute on it.

Every work place has someone who is liked less than others, and LLM has alluded to Ade being a bit of an outsider before, so whilst it may be opinion it reads as if it's based on first hand observation.

We are better with Ade than without him, so the sooner we accept this and get on with it, the better IMO

Well it depends on AVB. If he does not tolerate players that tear up the locker room, Ade will be out. If he had no choice, he will try to make the team as harmonious as possible...

No one is bigger than the team so either Ade wake up his fucking idea or he can be off for all I care.

There was ITK saying he was the most fined player last season and if the other guys don't get on with him its not necessarily their fault. Just because its a new season I don't see that making much of a difference, what's three months going to change? Hopefully enough of a change of course.

They're meant to be professionals though and have to put the team first. For me that means they have to leave any baggage behind and move forward. I'd be well and truly gobsmacked if they weren't able to do that although I still think the situation has been hyped up a bit.

It is a joke that all we can come up with is Remy/Soldado as back up options. There is no value in a 28 year old Soldado, whose overall game apart from finishing is shite. Remy is injury prone.

Should be looking at Luis Muriel imo. Sign Muriel, Bernard, McCarthy and a left back. Job done!

Maybe we should go to the donation page on the spurs website because that's gonna cost about £60m

If we need a striker we should be looking at the RPL. Yura Movsisyan, Lacina Traore or Tomas Necid would all be good additions. Hell, Aleksandr Kokorin would have been good but he went to Anzhi for around 16m.

There's plenty of talent around. We don't have to always go after the "big names."

Didn't he injur himself quite badly last year Coops, or am I imagining it?

Herniated disk. Still having some issues with it last I heard, too.

I mentioned Tomas Necid in the RPL post. He's another guy who screwed up his knee but is finally returning to health. Only 23 but he recently went on loan to Greece. I just mentioned him as he could have been a good buy cheap option as he's very talented.

A&C is spending a lovely day doing fuck all, just idling by, watching the cricket, picking his nose and sipping on a G&T, much to the disgust of Mrs A&C. But the wishlisting and guff that's going on in here today is now threatening that.

You don't want to be the one that finally makes me actually do something, it'll be costly. Now i'm off back to watch the cricket

toodle pip.

Wasn't it said that he was the most fined player, after BAE? Or was it that BAE was the most fined player after Ade? Either way, we don't want anything causing trouble within the camp. Hopefully the fit again Sandro will keep everyone in line (y)

The transfer window started well, the noises are good about Joe Lewis financial backing. Still along way to go but it is highly frustrating knowing the last two seasons the lack of transfer activity until the last two weeks of the window has cost us the points needed for CL which is a guaranteed 30m revenue and attract a better calibre of player.

The advantage of Levy's hard line is anybody who wants one of our players is paying top dollar, but when negotiation for new players he plays hardball to much.

I hope our lesson has been learnt and Baldini and AVB can bring the swag home SOON...
