I think he'd suit us pretty well - we need a grab em by the balls player - we've been lacking one since em Gascoigne. A toughie!

Ok: pros- he was Stoke's player of the year last year, so he isn't as shit as we think
Cons: him and Ade have serious history.

There's "interest" that's all The Goat has heard. The player is reluctant to come 'daaahn saaarf" as cowheel pie and tripe baguettes are hard to come by in the smerk. It is thought he'd come if the money were reeeet, lad.
Well lets hope Levy conducts negotiations in his normal manner. :ROFLMAO:

Not keen myself but could be an astute buy. Would add a bit of steel, and he isn't actually a bad defender, though he is a compete thug.

According to his wiki United have first refusal but i cant imagine LVG thinks that Shawcross is the the player to replace Ferdinand and Vidic.

Bloody hell, and to think I went for Tevez by way of Madonna and Argentina.

That'll teach me to think about Madonna's Fanjita.

Don't know what to make of the Shawcross links. 2 red cards a season I guess.

Wilshire might get a kicking though (y)

Remembering JJ's initial reaction to Ben Davies... well, it's not exactly "ruled out", is it? Would be interesting if JJ is able to sniff around and see if anyone has heard of this interest.

And, like I mentioned before, very surprised we hadn't been linked before. Ticks a lot of the boxes we need. Man United graduate, performed well in this league for years, and a captain on the pitch. Most of the reasons you feel negatively towards him is because he's a bloody horrible player to play against. Is that really such a bad thing to have in our Centre Half position?

I think most of us would agree that the thing lacking from Vlad Chiriches game is a bit of the Ryan Shawcross. If we kept the former and brought in the latter in place of Dawson, it might well be a shrewd move. Certainly worth the "interest", which is apparently all we're showing at the moment. No deal or even an offer to speak of.

I dunno. Being Stoke's player of the year still sounds pretty shit to me. How did they decide it? A punching contest?
