Is Levy still in the US with the rest of the squad? Maybe we're 'in discussions' with someone/someone's agent who was at the World Cup who hasn't yet returned to their clubs pre-season training? The phrase 'tapping up' springs to mind.. This would certainly annoy ANY club it affects?

I think it was merely just to point us in the direction of the song, and then watch us pour over the lyrics trying to dig out the answer along with the second bit. Don't think there's any significance within the lyric quotation personally.
