I'm throwing Nathan Ake into the mix. Madonna and Don McLean sang American Pie. Chelsea MAD at us anyway and Nathan Ake making the last NA. He is a talented central defender and can play left full back which is what we are looking for. What do you think?

If a club will be "angry" it will likely be a key player and a tricky one to get if we need "faith" in Levy/ Lewis.

Reid would be a pretty easy deal to pull of IMO since he has a year left on his contract.

Lukaku? though I'm not sure how pissed off Chelsea would be because they now have Costa & Drogba and would just demands lots of money off of us.

We know about interest in Schneiderlin and Rodriguez, maybe we want someone else off Southampton, Targett? Rose wants out meaning we'll need another LB? Maybe Fonte if Dawson is off?

American pie reference could refer to American clubs rather than American players, would it piss off Seattle or Toronto if we went back in for Dempsey or Defoe? Unlikely I know considering we wanted to get rid.

After taking their next "Totti" in Lamela, maybe Baldini is going back to Roma to piss them off? Dodo? Benatia is too expensive IMO and wants CL, Pjanic? Llajic?

Bony? Taking Davies and Vorm and now after Bony could piss off Swansea?

Most clubs would be "angry" if we went in for a key player of theirs...

I've never checked so many of the ratings people have been given to see if A&C has slipped in a 'winner' or 'agree' anywhere

FWIW - I can only think of Reid from West Ham but that seems too easy to work out

However, Chelsea and the way we don't deal with each other would suggest they'd be annoyed at us tapping up one of their players before a bid and that player refusing to go anywhere else but us

I think you're overestimating A&C's The Goat's creative abilities. They clearly just googled 'Mclean', saw American Pie come up, and whacked some lyrics in here.
