Can't even begin to imagine him at Pool! I do however think he is an absolutely world class striker and feel he would make every bit of £30mill difference to our team!

Oh of course, this why I though it would have been better for us just to meet the buy out clause and make sure. The potential benefit of having a quality striker that could help us achieve CL football for the next couple of seasons is risk worth taking over 2-3 million.

And if we do get CL football next season, then I cannot see Bale going anywhere TBH.

I did that with Villa and white-washed my room for no reason. There is still a salty smell in the air and maybe a hint of fish.

I have seen us this close far to many times for it all to go pear shaped and thrown into shit creek without a paddle.

Sorry but if its done be wouldn't have done fitness tests with them today. He would just have gone to the 'farewell' game. Take away all the ITK and as far as their media are concerned (who are very open) we are still trying to negotiate or may not have spoken to them at all

Yeah but I'm basing this on him being "signed" in which case he would technically be our player. If he's signed, as we were discussing then at 30mill odd Euros there is no way he would be training just to save face with the media, IMO.
I was saying in my post that I can see a deal being agreed between the clubs but that I don't think it will be finalised until they have a replacement in place. He obviously hasn't signed because it isn't on the site so anyone who claims it is done is just trying to get the scoop before anyone else. He is a Valencia player and is professional so I'm glad he is training today. It will be doing us a favour.

Without a doubt! I hope the dispute really is over instalments. Strikers like Soldado who have the brain and finishing ability that he does don't come around often, in their peaks for teams outside the CL. I truly believe he will catapult us into the top 4 at the very least. The money we spend could well be made up on that alone.

Without a doubt. Brilliant professionalism. I'd expect nothing less to be honest. I'd rather he trained than sulk like most players would. Do you fancy us to sign him? I keep changing my mind! I can't tell you how much I rate him and think he is absolutely perfect for our style etc etc etc.

I'm not knocking your opinion at all mate, but surely if it was done then he wouldn't have been doing the usual fitness tests etc. There is making things clear to the media etc, but letting the player do any sort of training that could cause injury etc, especially in a huge deal such as this one would surely be a no no?
If a standard fitness test carries a risk of injury, then he's fucked at the medical assessment!

Me too, I don't want Liverfool getting their grubby little hands on him and I would also have to kill my flat mate.

Liverpool are in a chain by all accounts, if they do not sell Suarez they wont be buying a striker so I wouldn't worry about them. They have been turned down by a few targets all ready this summer. And I think their prospects are being drastically overestimated.

There is a picture somewhere on this site.

In which case all of the ITK that says it is done (the bits Blake pointed out) are clearly wide of the mark. I get why he would go to the training ground but if he is done then he would not be taking fitness tests with them. Why would their coaches waste their time on a player who doesnt even belong to them? Pretty straight forward!
