LevyTime
It's Levy time,
there's no need to be afraid.
At Levy time
we let in light and banish shade
And in our world of plenty
we can spread a smile of Joy
Throw your arms around the world
at Levy time.

But say a prayer,
Pray for the other ones.
At Levy time it's hard
but when you're having fun...
There's a world outside your window
and it's a world of dread and fear
Where the only water flowing is
the bitter sting of tears
Where the Gooners bells that are ringing
are the clanging chimes of Doom
Well, tonight thank God it's them instead of you.

And there won't be snow in Manchester this Levy time
The greatest gift they'll get this year is life.
Ohh....
Where nothing ever grows
No rain or rivers flow
Do they know it's Levy time at all?

Here's to you...
Raise a glass for everyone
Here's to them
Underneath that burning sun
Do they know it's Levy time at all?

Feed the Spurs...
Feed the Spurs..

Feed the Spurs
Let them know it's Levy time again.
Feed the Spurs
Let them know it's Levy time again.
(Repeat several times and fade)
Have a word. ;)

This extra money being banded around. Greg Stobart mentioned this morning that we have £30mish to buy a top quality striker/left-wing option if a bid is accepted.

I do think that whilst Chadli is a perfectly serviceable player he's not going to be quite on the level of the rest of our new recruits therefore if we did spend out Bale money to upgrade both wings - as we would've done with Willian - we may well do it.

No idea who though - Griezmann is the only one that springs straight to mind.

Also Baines rumours can do one. He needs a system built around him (Pienaar/Fellaini) and he's only really rated so highly because he's good at set-pieces. Ian Harte with silly hair.
You are mean...:(!

Fischer....*Homer drool*

Munain would be a terrific signing. Had a slow season but it's almost to be expected at his age.

It would be nice to split that Bale money in half and just put it right towards our stadium fund.
Sounds like, even with another signing or two we could very well put most of it towards the stadium. If we get CL this season and the next few yrs, things will start to snowball rapidly.

Back up striker, massive priority. Hope/pray it's being looked at. Anything else would be a HUGE bonus

Baines shits all over Coentrão tbh,

He doesnt fall asleep and make school boy errors

Some people just see that one has a fancy foreign name and plays for RM so he must be better than the English guy at Everton..

Disagree with that, I think Coentrao is a better lb but Baines has the PL experience and takes a mean free kick, then again he's nearly 29 now against Coentrao 25.

Both very good left backs in a sea of mediocrity

Give the guy (chadli) a chance- he is a Belgian international and has been with is for 2 minutes and you're already talking about needing an upgrade on him!!??

i watched baines today and he always looks composed, he uses the ball well. rose on the otherhand can be quite erratic and coughs the ball up when pressured, maybe that will improve, i don't know.

The 2 missing pieces of the jigsaw is Coentrao and a top class striker who can start left foward and replace Soldado when he is unavailable

No point spending 20m on a back up striker. So who can we get for about 25m max that will score 15+ league goals that can play left forward and through the middle?!

Not necessarily an upgrade, but competition. If there's a better LW/ST flying about, and we have money to pay for them, why not?

He said upgrade, but either way Townsend, chadli, lennon plus the likes of lamela, holtby etc who can all play on the wing I think we are fine there. No point just stacking players up IMO plus we haven't even seen what chadli can really do yet

Some people aren't rating him because he inst a "name" with a "price".
They will come around halfway through the season, once they get what he brings to the team.

Mata can play on the left.....! lol. We will shift Ade before we do anything. As soon as NLD finishes tomorrow be prepared for the storm again lads!! I can feel it brewing, thats incomings and outgoings. No movement on **** today either. If we have alot still to spend i can't see DL just chucking it around because we have it. They will have 2 or 3 in mind if it can't be done it won't be.

I was thinking about this the other day... with the recent additions, and the fact that most are "fairly" young, there is a role here for an older/experienced player in the mix, as long as they are better than what we have. I don't have names, but I'm thinking along the lines of the way that people like King nurtured (sp) the up and coming defenders into the Tottenham way, how having the likes of VDV around helped, that sort of thing.

So if an affordable* senior player was to be available who is a step up from all that we have, we might want to go for it ahead of the young talent influx we are now hearing about in January/Next Year.

*Affordable - seems to just mean someone we can pay the wages for these days doesn't it - not sure I can wrap my head around this yet as a spurs fan of 40 years
