You can but it doesn't happen often (because why would you) but Utd agreed to sign Fabio and Rafael a year before they joined, as players can't join from outside the EU until they are 18.

Surely we would make sure the buy out was cancelled on time before bidding, old DL wouldn't leave that stone unturned.

I can imagine how it's not that simple though, as the contract is between AMadrid and Southampton and AMadrid don't really want other interested parties to know the situation in case it scares them off and they lose a potentially much bigger sale. Almost certainly believing they can wrangle a way out of the loan/buy contract somehow.

He could of. but I don't think this is the case, because if he had signed the contract and the time limit for Madrid to pay the 1.5m to cancel the transfer had lapsed, then why not announce the signing?

I'm not saying I think it is this but I'm pretty sure itk said in Jan that we made an enquiry for Januzai. We also had something recently along the lines of strikers coming.

I think "same grocer" refers to the point of sale, so same club.
