I used to rate Hulk but every time I see him now he just looks clumsy. Poor touch, poor movement, poor passing and an average shot. Most Brazilians are big confidence players so maybe his time at Zenit has played some part... Saying that if he turns out to be our 3rd big signing that previous ITK has been alluding to then I will be quite disappointed.

A bit more from LLM:

AVB has no choice, he was placed in charge and told he would not be making any signings. That being said he has never signed 1 player so I would not like him to start with us!

At the moment as things stand we rely on Sherwood, Ramsey, Magrone along with a few others.

Why not? Paulinho would replace one, Lluongo could replace another and, let's face it, neither of Huddlestone or Livermore are going to really figure much anyway. They'd be here 'just in case', so may as well promote our youth for a change & keep them wuth us, 'just in case'?
I'll take your word on Luongo - I've never seen him. I see he was on loan in League 1 last season although I'm not sure that's the best preparation to step in if (the inevitable) injuries start piling up. Good news, though.

Really good (and promising) young lad. Has bundles of energy, the tenacity of a jack-russel, hard in the tackle, good going forwards AND defensively, has a pass or two in his locker and deserves a chance, in my opinion. I'd describe him as similar to Parker but with more to his game than just being a good shield for the defence. That's just my opinion though.

I did see that. After a good break that he led I beleive. Thought he carried on though.

And I think it's called a shoeing by the egg chasers!!!

Yeah it was a heck of a run by him ;).. He did carry on but you know what it's like when you get a knock on the ankle. You finish the game, you feel fine then, come the next morning you can barely move your foot & are in a fair bit of pain. I'd assume he's not been selected as more of a precaution than anything. But I like to think he's not been selected because his head isn't quite right, due to the fact he's been concentrating solely upon signing for the future best club in the world :sneaky:..

According to David Pleat (talk sport) the transfers will be decided by Baldini, AVB, Fruend and Levy. Since Pleat actually works for Spurs I'll take his word.

http://www.talksport.co.uk/radio/we...baldini-can-take-tottenham-next-level-200180?

Get out of here. No way a fraud like AVB and a clueless chancer like Baldini will have any input in first team singings. Who do you think they are, the head coach and DoF or something? Nup, DL just has some extra cash burning a hole in his pocket and took pity on them.

Unless this LLM guy is talking about our scouting set-up. In which case, I'm not surprised. We seemingly just grab whoever is walking out of the canteen at the opportune moment to go and scout potential players and then fire up the old FM game as a backup.

Honestly I've always thought he's massively overrated. He's like a left footed Jermain Defoe. He's always just looking to thunder in a shot from just outside the box, invariably hitting 2 defenders on the arse as the ball goes out for a corner.

Are we taking what this guy says as reliable info? I don't mind either way as it's something to read whether it be itk or opinion.

But his goal vs Liverpool was awesome!

AVB says we are not going for Bernard. Probably due to his valuation...but it may be all lies as we've seen in the past to keep negotiations behind closed doors

He never said we're not going for Bernard, mate. He said we're not going for Martinez & are interested in Bernard but doesn't feel anything will happen there (which I imagine is down to Mineiro asking for too big a fee)..

On another note, I see your username & instantly have Del Shannon 'Runaway', in my head :D
