I know stats aren't everything, but

• 48 goals in 116 appearances for Hamburg
• 60 in 141 for Ajax

says a lot. 12 in 71 in Madrid is a bit less impressive but if he recaptures his Hamburg form it looks like we finally have our goal scoring midfielder.

He came off the bench a lot for Madrid and with us he will get regular football and get into a rhythm. Can't wait.

Just heard a rumour suggesting we're pleading "problems with a computer server" whilst trying to get the documents to the FA.

This is plausible, mind you. If everyone was trying to get their documents to the FA at the same time it could have caused a server freeze or some such bollox.

Maybe they were trying to send them through SC? I had trouble getting on here due to everyone piling on here to see what was happening! Good times!

You ARE reading too much into it. Now that ITK is done for 6 months maybe people can get back to reality and stop reading into every comment or action. Anyone who saw that comment and wasn't fanatic about this site would not have given it a second thought. I honestly believe Harry was saying to Levy:

"I'm happy with the squad guv, VDV is a great player and will make us better but it's your call. If the deal is right for the club great, if not then like i said we'll get by without him"

The Mail says it was a computer problem between Real and Tottenham. I can imagine trying to get in touch with Tottenham is like trying to use seatbooker, so I can imagine that they kept getting put in a queue then when they finally reached the front of the queue the email system crashed.

IF because of VDV we get past the group stage, or finish inside the top4 again. plus shirt sales. Also enhancing our reputation around europe.

Can see this being the best bit of business EVER for THFC.

Lars Jacobsen was ratified for west ham by the league so i'm feeling more and more confident that they'll confirm VDV. I noticed Teemo Tainio has become unattached, I wonder where he'll end up? Palace should look him.
