It would be grossly unfair to Harry. But if Guus Hiddinck is available, yes; but would let Harry have some honarary title.

Never liked Mourinho.

I fall between two stools on this one: I would keep Harry until such time as he chose to leave. Then get Mourinho.

Therefore, to answer the question precisely: keep Harry for the foreseeable future.

I wouldn't judge his reign in Italy on one result, as far as I have gathered the fans aren't so enamoured with him and the press can't stand him. He seems to have developed into a parody of himself, focussing more on smart arse comments to the press than coaching his team, they have been pretty shit in the League despite still being first. That league is a sham these days and the fact that it wasn't wrapped up by Christmas is a poor show from Inter.

Jose will succeed Fergie at Man Yoo, so any other job would be him marking time, using that club as a stepping stone. If Harry wants to stay, he should stay, regardless of whether we get 4th or not. Much as I enjoy Mourinho's cocksure attitude.

Presumedly y'all would be averse to upgrading our strikeforce as well then, the same strikeforce that got us our best finish in...

Twist for me.

I don't dispute that JM is a real winner, wherever he goes. But to ditch Harry, only to be used as a rung up towards the United job? Smacks of the same mentality as Berbatov. And we all love him now, don't we?

I actually don't want 'arry to go. But would we actually turn Jose down if he was prepared to come?

Doubt it...

I'd love to have JM as manager, but not now, now would be the worst time. We've got a great squad that Arrys got working extremely well together. JM would replace everyone other than Jenas in the squad

Mourinho is the best tactician in the world, his tactics for the Chelsea game which were very attacking, were sensational.

I admit to never really warming to Harry, not that I'm not appreciative for what he has done to us, but he is our manager and love him or hate him he is with us and doing a good job and the thing this club has craved for so, so long is stability.

If there was any chance of JM taking on the Spurs' job, I'm working on the assumption that it's because he and Levy have an understanding, based on our attempt to get him before he went to Chelsea. In that scenario, Levy would know whether he had long-term plans to stay and see out a decent tenure with us or not. Maybe.

Anyway, didn't 'arry say he was only here for a couple of years anyway when he signed up?

Besides, ManU aren't in the best of positions financially, and all this fretting about them poaching our boys is disturbing as it is, let alone those we haven't yet got!

To be fair, Zippy, there's a marked difference between changing a few players and changing a manager. If for no other reason than a new manager would probably change more than just a few players.

No, that's true enough, Rez. A fair point well made.

And that does pick at my main concern about hiring JM —- he does seem to favour experience over youth. I wouldn't want the balance altered too much from what we have now. They'll all get it soon enough, together as a squad, one hopes.

What are we on? At least 16 isn't it?

Heck, twist, still. Levy isn't going to change philosophy whether he changes manager or not. And Mourinho's an ace. So we couldn't possibly bust.

Not the most applicable or bullet-proof metaphor either, hehe. Time for bed.

if mourinho or pep guardiola were available(if Laportas stupid mate Ferrer wins Guardiola will resign) then any club would snap their arm off to sign either of them

No. It would be grossefully unfair on the job that Harry has done/is doing for us at the moment.

He deserves to finish what he has started.
