But really it should be written like "Man City pay so much compared to Spurs..."
It's sad that we're being criticised for running our club this way (Spurs pay so little). I guess they just want the billionaires to be praised for throwing so much money into the sport. We're showing that you can still compete and not pay over the top on wages. How is that a bad thing? Oh and people will still complain about rising costs of Sky and BT, cost of new shirts every season and cost of tickets always rising etc etc. Why do they think the costs to fans have gone up so much over the years?
unfortunately players and agents would not think in the same way as we do, toby's situation is the best example :(

I thought to fit into FFP you was only allowed to use 55% of your turnover in wages.

or is there a restriction hen it comes to purchases?
No, there restriction is on salary rises (I think no more than 15% but I’m not sure).

Ryan Mason was on Talk Sport last night when the subject of our bonus structure was raised and he said that our bonuses are no better or worse than other PL clubs and “I can vouch for this as I was part of this bonus plan”

This may go someway to dismiss the myth that we pay huge bonuses

Oh rises, I thought we were talking about the original wages for all staff. With Kane just getting a double and others getting close but due to stadium delays only a number of them getter big rises, ours will be a lot higher than 42% by time we are finished. Or we will be in a position where a lot are going to be wanting to leave

Not sure what we expect.

a) Have lived in a 36k stadium for years and as such low income
b) Haven't won the league, Champions' League or any cups consistently to increase our brand abroad
c) Don't have a sugar daddy

All the others in the top 6 have one, or more of the above and as such have been generating larger income streams for a longer time. That and our stadium financing have understandably held us back.

But we'll be eating with the big boys soon...!

To be fair I'm not sure Toby or Eriksen are all about the money. I just think they're at a point in their career where they want to lift trophies.
