Surely the back 4 was Mason's plan. So do we expect to see that again?

I think a back 4, implemented correctly, could still work.

Just not the way it was implemented Sunday. 3 midfielders who don’t have a single technical or progressive quality to them in the same midfield? with Dier, Porro and Perisic behind them? That was always going to end in disaster.

4231 or 442(with the second striker withdrawn a little bit to help support the mid field), a combination of Skipp/Sarr/Hojbjerg in the pivot, with actual defenders I think will work

All he needs to do is play the opposite of Conte apparently... So the well known 3-2-5 formation!

In all honesty I feel sorry for him... Utd and Liverpool next up. Good luck, he'll need it.

We have options .

The players know and like Mase so that should get him some immediate grace

Then he has some good options . I wouldn't stick with he 343 but why not a 352? If he doesn't like that then let's play a back four with Tanganga and Davies at full backs. You can do the 433 or what about the German style 4222 with 2 anchors, Danjuma or Son on the left , Kulu or Porro on the right with Kane playing with one of Richy , son or Danjuma?

Lot of work to be done and not much time to do it but we have some great people on our side to help these players

You've definitely described PEH but you've managed to also lump Sarr in that description which is unfortunate because it is wrong. Pape is both technical and offers progressive quality.

I'm fed up of 3 at the back when we don't have 3 good defenders but 4 4 at the back when we have no available full-backs would surely be crazy

I'd just like to see us actually try to impose ourselves on any element of the game rather than just sitting back and taking whatever we're given

Why do so many of our fans hate our own. Mason will do what he feels is best for club, he'll give everything of himself for the cause. We are lucky to have someone who loves the club and is ready to step in. Lets get get behind him!

3-5-2 I reckon. Drop Kulu.

------------Forster--------------
-----Romero---Dier---Lenglet----
Porro-----------------------Perisic
-------Sarr--PEH--Skipp---------
---------Kane---Son------------

Son up top again. Kane dropping off. Quicker through balls over the top/into space rather than to feet. Would be the easiest thing to try quickly, as they were doing it for a couple of years under Mou.

Mason is Spurs and will not get as much flack from the fans. I think we all like Mason as a bloke and it should've been him until the end of the season not Stellini. I didn't like Stellini in charge seemed like a ridiculous decision to appoint him. Appointing Mason who has an affiliation with the club would've made sense but more bad decisions

It was crazy away to Newcastle in our current situation... it's crazy at Anfield right now or if it was Etihad... but 4 at the back at home to Brentford, Leeds, Bournemouth etc., should be able to work, even with this squad.... be flexible until we get a new manager in place who can rebuild.

So I hope Mason uses a combination of common sense and bravery.

Porro and perisic are not defensive at all. I think you have to play tanganga at rb and Davies at lb or Dier rb and tanganga at lb.

Some are frustrated to the point where the mist needs a chance to clear, especially after that battering at the weekend. I get frustration but I'm too old to get angry about something I can't change. Just part and parcel of supporting a club that has to pay it's own way, I suppose.

Hopefully, now that the only way is up from a club structure & personnel point of view, some of those angry fans will take a breath and get behind the team, working with what we've got.

Dear oh dear - so they sack Stellini on the back of a pathetic decision by Levy to put him in charge

They then say he’ll be leaving along with his coaching staff and appoint Ryan Mason - isn’t Ryan part of the current coaching staff??

Absolute circus and the ringmaster needs to step down
That was my initial thought, if Steliinis\Conte's coaching staff has gone, who do we have left on the training pitch?
Am not exactly sure how many Conte bought in.
Also what happens if we get thumped by both Man U and Liverpool in the next week? Someone else in charge?
