Been saying this 'stability' bollocks for years. We had a great chance of it with Jol, but we decided to fuck it up. I have no time for Levy, he can piss off.

What do you hope to gain from writing this?

You and your attitude can piss off.

Stability is what is required, at the club now are Levy, Comolli and Ramos, Jol has nothing what so ever to do with the club now. So to keep the stability and build a team capable of success we need to keep those in charge in charge and give it time to build and progress.

So with that in mind you need to decide wheter or not you want to be a Spurs fan and support the team and those in charge or if you want to live in the past and keep bitching about shit that happened over a year ago and no amount of whiney will make the slightest bit of differnce to.

Jol is gone, yes he should have got more time, but he didn't, yes he did well, yes he COULD have gone on to do even better but he DIDN'T HE WONT AND HE IS GONE....end of chapter

Either accept things as they are and hope we do not repeat the same mistakes as the past (Levy is an intellegent man, im sure he is aware of and has learned from his mistakes, he now has the set up he feels is best for the team and will allow it time to progress.)

Remember that Jol was never the coach intended to take charge, he was a number two who came in and did well. Levy moved to bring in who he considered to be the best coach for the job and now the set up is complete.

Yes it has set us back but hopefully in the long run it will take us future forward. There is just a longer period of adjustment what with the total squad overhaul, loss of two best players, improvement of competing teams and the fact that the manager himself had no previous experience with the English game (unlike Jol so thus likely requires more time to adapt)

Seriously now, your living in the past and your constant anti Levy/pro Jol rants are just childish. If you dont want to be a SPurs supporter anymore then fuck off, if you do then stop talking shit.

The way I see it Bakez is just an angry hormonal 14 year old, who's tantrums should be ignored as it only encourages him. If he is any older than he is just truely pathetic

What exactly does Gel mean anyway?

Last night the first half was close to the most boring football match i have ever watched - it got better in the second but not by much to be honest. What made sense to me was Woodys comments saying it was about a game plane and frustrating the home supporters - not giving Newcastle anything - and just trying to hang on. that made sense to me b/c we are a team low on confidence and if we conceded early last night it may have been a different story altogether.

In the second half and especially after GDS came on we started to look forwards more, we were trying to make stuff happen, and we got the goal..we went on to win a very poor game of football..

Me being an optimist I can see what we did last night was very positive - we accepted our confidence levels and decided to play frustrating football to put the pressure on the Bar codes, not to do anything rash that could have let Martins or Owen sneak one on the break. This worked. In the 2nd half we visibly began to be a bit more purposeful (not alot mind) - we got the goal, and we won the game.

'Gelling' isnt going to just happen - it will take some time and some more muted performances but for me we were on the right track last night. We know we are low in confidence and we are working hard (I assume) to make sure we play to our strengths (confidence not being one of them). Once the goal came I thought we looked far more assured, especially Pav who I predict is going to go on from here and score bucket loads.

Its not going to be a 'snap' of the fingers but i was encouraged last night that we put out our stall, stuck to it, and then when we got the goal we looked a bit better...

Glass, ladies and gents, is half full...

Anyway! Back to the topic of gelling...

I didn't really understand what was meant by players needing to gel, until this year.

I've played 11 aside for 5 years and this year I joined a new club... 2 players I have played with for a year came to the club with me...

We had such an understanding for the way we play that some of the other players were calling it the trio etc...

I knew that when Wiz (LM) got the ball he would pass to me (CM) make a run, I'd pass back, he'd then lay it to Damo (CF) who'd lay it off to me as I made my run through the defence.

To everybody else it looked like we were just passing to each other because we know each other, but...

Heres the difference, when our (RM) picked up the ball i'd make myself available and he would, either, take the man on, play a long ball or if he passed to me, he wouldn't be expecting it back, so he didnt make a run, id then have to pass it somewhere else, usualy damo who had started to make a run cause he knows iwhere im gonna pass.

The point is, that because we know the way we each play we anticpate the next move, where as the guys that didnt know us didnt know.

And its resulted in alot of passing between us 3, not because we're friends but because we're always available for each other...

The thing is, its probably taken about a year for us three to learn how we play and we still dont know it all yet, like our positioning when defending is still different. (although that may be part of the job of the manager)

...Yeah so anyway, i didnt get what this gelling business was until this year. And I totally agree with Wenger about only bringing in 3 players each year or you'll disrupt the team.

I hope now we can get some stability. We do need a DM, CF and depending on Corluka a CB. So if we get these in January, I hope they aren't played in the team until they've had a couple of months with the squad.

Some of you are such numpties.

We play some decent football and get nish. So Ramos adjusts. Wednesday was not about a performance (although some of us were perfectly happy with dominating the game unspectacularly) it was a fucking cup. THE RESULT WAS WHAT MATTERED.

If we'd have gone up there played great and lost 3-1 for the fourth consecutive time, going out of the cup we are defending first time up Ramos would have got murdered.

We are low on confidence and losing to the joke club of the EPL would have been a fucking death knell.

Liverpool's whole season so far has been based on results and performances just like that.

And we all know that we will only start to flow when confidence is back and all the new faces start to blend and settle properly. Which will take time. Especially as we lost a fantastic player in a pivotal role as well.

I think if Berbatov was still here to lead the line and interact with the likes of Modric and GDS etc then the transition would not have been so painful. We didn't have Pav for the first 4 games. And he has been playing since March.

Or alternatively he could be glowering, muttering, waving his arms, showing a few great touches and then going Lord Lucan for the rest of the game—that's assuming that he wouldn't have had a mental breakdown because he'd missed out on his dream move and was having to slum it with us until January at least.

You're absolutely right about the tactics on Wednesday, though. Losing to the Barcodes would have been far worse than going out to a Championship or League One outfit, I think. The one disappointment was that we didn't really go for it while they were groggy after going two down.

You're also right about Liverpool. They were no better than us against Boro and Sunderland, and pretty much lucked five points. They were pretty poor against Stoke, too, it seems. Torres so far hasn't looked anything like the Torres of last season, and Benitez, having splurged £20m on Keane, appears not to have figured out how to use him yet.

I find liverpool and keane very interisting, you would of thought Benitez would of done his reasearch on how to play Keane, but he is always playing the wrong role, either as 1 up front or has a winger not his right role.and it a bit wierd to say the least.

I also would like to point out to the man with the worst rep. ever to come into this fourm (although if PLP lasted a bit more then about 2 weeks I doubt he would be.) that its about time to get over Jol. I loved Jol and still do. I dont feel the same way from Ramos. However Im a Spurs supporter not a Jol supporter. And I will continue in this rollercoster ride. However what are you? I dont think you deserve all that neg rep. but you need to learn that its the past get over it. The future is not with him. Move forward not backwards. Yes look at it with fondness...well the good bits but that is what has happened, Whats the point of mentioning it in every post you make......

Anyway stability is key. So is getting are players to gel. And to keep stability (es. at this time) is to keep Levy and co. even if he knows nothing about football he is the best businius man in the prem. Soooo....
Also we dont wanna end up like Newcastle, which are in a bit of a tricky situation mostly thanks to the fans who called for Ashleys head, not the greatest chairman in the world but he tried, did what they said and know they are left with no leadership what so ever and they are in bigg truble and I dont want that to happen to my beloved tottenham and for that reason and in these times Levy must stay. I hope you see where Im comming from
