Times: Spurs offered Berbatov 60k a week

You are wrong on this one. I wrote that it's ridiculous to pay him 22k a week. And also that he will not sign an extension, unless there is a buy out clause in the new contract. He won't do it not because he is greedy and does not respect Spurs. He enters his prime and wants to give his best years to a club that can win big cups.

This is non-commitment to the club. It is strining the club a long and it's not right. It's also clearly affective the way he's playing as he knows he could walk into any club next summer.

He may aswell leave now, instead of dragging it on for another year when his eyes are clearly on somewhere else.

we should just to what ManU did with Gabriel Heinze. If we are going to sell him refuse to sell him to ManU.

Absolutely, if we are to be taken seriously then we need to act it off the pitch as well as on. Chelsea wouldn't sell Utd Drogba, and Utd wouldn't sell Chelsea Rooney, why should we consider selling Berbs to Utd? If it comes to the crunch, tell him and his **** agent, you move abroad or nothing.

Berbati, if you do truely work for Berbs I understand some of your comments, but remember your on a spurs board full of passionate fans that are currently seeing their star striker exhibiting behaviour which disheartens us and rumours which worry us, so telling us to shut up when we are simply saying what all Spurs fans are thinking makes no sense.

As someone else has already asked, are you a genuine Spurs fan? Or just a Spurs fan since Berbs moved?

The way you talk about Berbatov's position at Spurs is actually quite threatening. I am dubious as to wether you are actually a tottenham fan or not.

Tottenham Hotspur FC means so much more to me than a Bulgarian carrot dangler, and quite frankly some of his agents quotes take the piss, especially when it comesto team unity.

Thank you for giving me a laugh

Please don't hide your negative attitude toward Berbatov behind your love toward THFC. Just say that you don't like him. It's simple. Obviously, it's not possible all fans to love him.

On the contrary, I loved Berbatov last season & I feel he could be a legend. What I don't like is his and his agents choice of phrases which indicate that he is not fully committed to the club. As has been said, the world doesn't revolve around Berbatov & I don't want to have players who are already looking at their next destination in the team I've supported since I was pissing the bed, regardless of how good they are.

I haven't read a Kendall positive comment about Berbs since the season started.

You will find glowing praise from last season.

This season and in pre season he's looked an absolute shadow of the man. I don't hate Berbatov, anyone that thinks that is ignorant or selectively blind. I'm raiting him on how he's playing now, and while it was marginally better at OT he was still standing around ball watching & not getting involved like he should. The guy looks miserable, unmotivated and unfocused.

Even if we finish 4th Berbatov will not extend his contract. He will have 2 years left on his contract in the summer. if united bid 22m then the board will have to sell

we just have to enjoy his perforances for this season. He will be with us for the whole season

Oh, okay.

Why do we actually believe that he works for Berbatov? It seems pretty clear from the tone of his posts that his loyalty does lie with the player ahead of the club, obviously, but probably a lot of Bulgarians who have no connection to Berbatov feel the same way. Unless...

:eek:mg:

Don't worry, Emil, your secret's safe with me.

Yeah, but he did this last season too rememeber? As does Keane, pretty much every season.

Berbs is a different story though and I would bet my house on him to score against Foolham.

Now - To all those people panicing about Berbs going to Man U next season based on his quote "I am staying for now". Do you honestly not think it has anything at all to do with Jol's position?

Berbs may have had a dig at the board, and since he is our talisman, we as fans and especially the board have to do everything in their power to make the best player we have had at this club since Ginola wanted for gods sake!

We will not get top 4 without Berbatov, the board need to stop being so fucking Jewish and pay him the money he deserves!

I put that down to him being new in the league, but now, he's barely trying.

Keane isn't on form, he's not scoring goals but he's always after the ball & running his socks off. I understand Berbs is a different type of player, but for me, he's not doing the job yet and really doesn't look on a level with the team.

He is coming back from an injury mate...

exactly , if tottenham really want to keep Berba for another 3 seasons we can. Yes we would lose a huge transfer fee next season and a lesser fee the season after but if he gets us into a CL spot then it will be worth him leaving on a free in 2010.

At the end of the day he has a contract and we can keep him to that.

I think Berbs needs to remember who took a chance on him, £10.9M for a player none of the big boys in Germany or anywhere else were willing to pay.
