What's new

Tim's starting lineup was perfect! ...if you're Chelsea.

We had the attacking threat of a fart in a bubble bath.
It's been like that for 50% of our games this season, and playing away at Chelsea it was always going to be that way. Despite that we didn't look too bad, until our team and the ref had a collective brain fart.

No, and I have said it many times before and have done it. I can handle a loss if we can walk off that pitch with our heads held high... Do you think we could walk off that pitch with our heads held high yesterday?

So get your arse spanked by gung ho and you would feel that we could walk off that pitch with our heads held high? I'll remember that next we get spanked by going all for it against vastly better team away.

See what you don't get in whatever world you live in, I am looking for performances, consistent performance that feel me with belief that we can achieve things, performances that give me hope...

And you saw those this season under AVB - with what kind of mushrooms?

Sorry mourinho is just a complete troll.

He will say anything to make his position better regardless if it is remotely true or not.

Our tactics were good yesterday tbf. Individual errors from our players and the ref cost us. Nothing to do with TS tactics

Exactly, we were so bad at making them unable to attack that he had to make a sub at half time. we weren't pretty going forward in the first half for the most part but they could barely find a pass out of their half.

To be honest, Chelsea were awful yesterday, they was there for taking. Nothing wrong with being defensive, but at least give yourself an opportunity to attack when we get it.

What the hell was Siggy, Lennon and walker ever going to do? What the hell is that going to do for the mindset for the rest of the Squad.

Soldado scored in the last game against Cardiff, where the hell was he?

Yes they did okay for the first 45 mins, but really, what chance did we give ourselves, Chelsea have far to much class to think we would ever grind out a result against them.

Until individual errors started cropping up the tactics stifled Chelsea. WE gave them the chances they took. Tey rarely created anything of their own doing.

Tim's tactics for the first half were spot on and Mourinho knows it. If the scoreline was different he wouldn't be piping up the way he is. 'Walker in the pocket' is a load of crap, he took on Cesar a multitude of times he just overran the ball and delivery wasn't the best.

Chelsea were diabolically bad and if it weren't for mistakes they were very unlikely to score.

In terms of mourinho trolling and the utter shite he talks to the press did anyone see his interview where he said he'd rather have 3 games in hand rather than 9 points.

He's just a complete fucking troll; saying anything and everything to better his position. He makes Harold sound genuinely humble and honest
Why is he a troll? Fergie was the "king of mind games" and Mourinho is a troll? He's an excellent manager and I'd eat broken glass to have him. He will always win things, he's a born winner and he knows exactly how to win.

As per his assessment of Spurs, he's totally right. We didn't really threaten. Lots of meaningless possession (again). Don't get me wrong I was pleased at half time, but it was the kind of side that if we conceded one, we'd concede more, and that's exactly what we did.

I think the longer it stayed 0-0 Soldado and Townsed may have come on too go for the winner. We'll never know though as the game turned very quickly and very early in the second half.

I think we needed more than Soldado and Townsend to come on. A midfield of Siggy, Lennon and Walker... Did someone spike TS with some kind of drug... We would have at least needed to make 5 changes to deal with that cluster fook.

Because hes trolling. Saying our tactics helped them? Seriously. Bar our own mistakes our tactics blunted them completely.

He would rather have 3 games in hand than 9 points????!!!!!! He just talks utter nonsense to take focus away from his players and put pressure on others.

Call it what you like, mind games, trolling, whatever.

The idea was to defend more so than attack with hopes of nicking something. If the second half went the way of the first we were well in the game.

I didn't like our tactics. I fucking hate watching Spurs play for a draw or trying to steal games. Sides like that don't win things. We lost because we got unlucky but the more concerning thing is that to win the game we would have needed to be lucky.

'hopes of nicking something'. We had to fucking win that game to get a chance of top4. And he's 'hoping' to nick something?????

Our only chance of beating them last night was Lennon picking up the ball on the break and mugging of their centre backs. Lennon isn't on form and we couldn't get him involved. Game over.

We obviously went for a draw.

Best we could have hoped for imo.

But I totally agree and said in the match thread I was absolutely bored to death with our approach but this is a results business and tbf to TS he tried to get the best result we could really hope for.

A draw?????? When only a win gives us a chance

Fuck me that is pathetic

Would you rather get a point, or suffer another hammering? May be boring, but I know what I'd rather have.

That's what I thought at first, but then I thought back about the game. We were never in the position of being able to win the game, and we never looked like we would. Chelsea sliced us open twice in the first 5 minutes with Eto'o being incorrectly called offside and Hazard missing an open goal (albeit from a slightly difficult angle). They showed they could carve us open, while all we managed the whole game was a long ball into Adebayor and a knock down to Bentaleb. Individual errors might have lost us the game, but we were never going to win it under his tactics.

As Mourinho points out, us deploying two right backs gave the initiative to Hazard to stay up the pitch and not have to drop deep. Walker then went wondering around the pitch and him and Lennon were constantly found in odd positions, with Walker at LCM when he decided to play a one-two with Lloris for the 4th goal. Chelsea were terrible in the first half rather than us being good, and it was obvious they were going to come out fighting in the second half, and once we went 1-0 down, even though it was from our own doing, the team gave up. I don't think anyone believed we would get anything from it after the 1-0..
