Tottenham are ready to match Blackburn's £15m valuation of David Bentley and bring the ex-Arsenal midfielder to White Hart Lane. (The Daily Express)

Really - that's a lot of bunse!

Spurs are also ready to beat Newcastle to the signing of Celtic winger Aidan McGeady. (Mirror)

Mentioned on here the other day...

AND FINALLY
Chelsea keeper Petr Cech is more than happy with his new orange kit for next season. "Studies say orange spreads the most in the split second when the striker focuses," he said. (Daily Mail)

What is he saying?

mate if we got bentley to go with modric we'd have some midfield. Also would be lovely to see an ex gooner do well for us for once :)

I'd be very happy with Bentley, an experienced DM, and someone to replace Mr Berbatov this summer.

Guys we dont have an endless pool of money FFS. We need to priortise our signings. I would rather a left winger first, (logical seeing as we already have a right winger and all that:roll:) and a defensive midfielder. These two will probably come to about 25 million. Add the Modric transfer to that and we are up to £41m before we even consider Bentley. If Berba goes all the money we get for him will likely be spent on another striker so i cant see that there is much left for Bentley. Add on yer keeper and the money we spent in Jan and we have nearly have half a new stadiums worth spent on players.

Clearly the only way we can fund this is to sell some of the existing squad, aka chimbo and zokora, not sure who else tho.

Although it is a well know fact that he's a Spurs fan. As is O'hara who was also at the scum.

This is not true about bentley. He just loved Gazza as a kid. Also loved cantona and normally wore a utd shirt.

it is out of us, liverpool and chelsea who he goes to.

Is it a well known fact that either are? I thought it was more of a misconception i.e. Bentley's family were Spurs fans while he was not and O'Hara was a Millwall fan as a youngster

Better, and let's stop putting King at the back - he will never have a full season for us again so is best thought of as a nice addition to the squad when available. Dawson is the most likely CB at this point for our first team unless the cheque book comes out.

Fair enough.

Bale is a cack LB though.

how do you even know that? Eek

Hey I live in Toronto and I saw him play for TFC last week live on TV. Did a lot of running and was a big threat until he ran out of steam by around the 70 min mark.

If a totally unfit Ricketts can be a big threat, that speaks enough of the standard of the MSL over here in North America.
