This would be a fantastic move for him. Think they'd possibly be interested in Harry Kane as well? I think Kane could do well in the Eredivisie.

Created an account just to say that I believe he's cup-tied.

Played in our Europa Qualifier against Tbilisi, we qualified, so from what I understand, he's not allowed to play in any European Competition for another club.

Think the rule changed and it's within the same tournament. He could play CL, but not EL.

Kind of strange if he plays champos and were in Europa.

Think it would be the making of him, so long as he settles down, but then again I thought that would be the case with Ryan Mason in France last season, but he didnt manage to settle in.

Think it would be easier for Caroll as most Dutch people speak English as a second language.

The Mason loan was rumoured to be a deal arranged by their chairman and their manager wasn't particularly receptive.

You would hope that a lesson was learnt and that we're more vigilant about having all parties approval on our youngsters loans

we should sell him to them for dirt cheap (say around £2m) and insert a buyback clause for around £8m (makes it worth their while). would make much more sense than a loan, they'd feel more compelled to give him games and develop him.

So effectively you want us to give them our player for a year and we pay them £6m for the privilege?!? I don't see that being signed off

I really don't think this is a goer. There haven't been any really credible links right? Ajax develop great talent, I expect they'd rather develop one of their own players than someone else's. Carroll isn't good enough to be such a difference maker that they would play him anyway. It's a good loan from our perspective but Idk that there is enough in it for Ajax.

I tend to agree. Not sure how much game time he would get at ajax. I would like him to go to palace where he would play nearly every game and also in our league which benefits us more.

Dude, Amsterdam isn't really that bad.

At Ajax the run a tight ship with strict rules. Only smoking at lunch break and at half time on match days.

i didnt say for a year. if we're being brutally honest, he's not going to be ready for the first team after just a year of regular playtime. He needs to spend a few seasons at the same club getting accustomed to their playing style and succesive league and european games.

Year? Could be two years or rest of his career in that case with us recouping £2m. Only if he develops into player good enough for our squad, would we give £6m in that scenario.

Oh, and unless he improves hugely, will be loaned out again next summer. I mean who he is going to push out of squad unless he improves drastically?

Probably not going to happen cos Ajax would just use on of their own Youth.

But would be an amazing deal for us and for the lad.

SSN reporting that De Boer has asked for Carroll on loan, Spurs are happy for him to go but have left it up to Carroll to decide on way or t'other.

Possibly going to Ajax vs Vitesse in November and seeing Carroll would make my night! Do it Tom, just so I can be a proud yid in Amsterdam.
