actually i think it was much worse -

because instead of getting any sympathy for being so cruelly robbed - more or less everybody non-spurs thought it was all jolly funny with pictures of wenger in a chef's hat etc

while we were seething, demoralised, hurting etc

had it been seen straightaway as the virus it was, i think it wouldn't have been seen as so hilarious - tho i admit still most/all of the myriad anti-spurs brigade would still have put the boot in as much as possible
