So Wigan have lost, and that means we've finished in the top half of the table. Who would have thought that late last year? Especially seeing as we went a year without making it into the top half. Well done Harry and the lads

Lets hope we can still clinch 7th spot. But all in all its good to finish in the top half.

of course, if Wigan win their next 2 games by a few goals each and we lose ours by a couple each, i'll feel like a right tit.

I was getting worried in January that we'd be down there all season with a relegation dog fight going to the wire.

I'd just come back from watching an awful preformance away at Wigan, one of the few selection errors Harry has made, Zokora on the right of midfield!!

Been very happy the last few months, we've made real progress.

:bang: won't happen don't worry, more chance we lose at anfield by 3 or more if liverpool are still in title race

I think Pool will be out of it by the time we play them, Manyoo only need a point to clinch the title now. Ars*nal will be tough but at OT I'd expect them to outplay the gooners again for at least a point esp knowing they would win the title at home.

If Pool have nothing on the last day and somehow Toon get a point against Fulham (and we get 3 against city), I think we're capable of getting 3 at anfield if we're desperate for 7th.

I still worry that we aren't quite there away from home, if we win at Anfield I'd be surprised - even if they are out of the title race.

Wins at Anfield are rare as rocking horse shit for us yids, having said that my first ever Spurs game was Garth Crooks scoring the winner back in '85. First time we'd won there since the titanic went down. Roberts was immense, Rush was in his pocket.

I've come to the realisation that we aren't going to get 7th - had we held on and won against Blackburn, I'd have been more confident of matching Fulham's results over the last two games and therefore qualifying.

On the assumption that Europe is now beyond us, my main concern is finishing above West Ham, mainly because I have some bets with hammers mates as to who will finish the highest.

Even if that doesn't happen, I'm grateful for the opportunity to get my money back off them next year, which in October last year I was seriously concerned I would not do.

Not been a great season, but considering how bad it could have been, I'll take it.

This season's been as dramatic as we can get:

2 points from 8 games
Management & others sacked
New manager
4-4 with gooners
Carling Cup Semis with Burnley
Carling Cup final involving extra time & pens
Death of Defoe's half brother
The body of Wilson's brother found
Ledley arrested
The chase for Europe

Fair play to the management, club & fans this season. Good job all round - we could have crumbled at any time. I'm hoping next season's a quietly comptetitive one where the only drama comes from Robbie Keane's hand waving.

I hope i'm wrong but Fulham imo need just a point to secure 7th. Everton at home could not have been a better game. Everton will field a weaken team as there concentration will be the FA cup final and rightly so, that would take them to 51 points.

I don't think we've beaten Liverpool in the league for over 20 odd years (correct me if wrong) certainly not won at Anfiled in the premiership. We really have a poor record away from the Lane against Liverpool, Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea.

We can beat Man City (hope) but I dont see us getting nothing but a spanking at Anfield. If we beat Man City we'd be on 51pts- Fulham to at least draw with Everton and finish 7th on goal deficit

that's good, more than what i hoped before Redknapp arrival.

but I'm still hoping for UEFA cup place, despite it's look like unlikly with 2 games left including (A) to Liverpool, and 2 pts behind Fulham, so we should put our lives in Everton as they are playing against two UEFA chasers ( West Ham (H) + Fulham (A) ) ..

7- Fulham ( 6+ Goal difference / 50 pts ) Newcastle (A) Everton (H)
8- Tottenham ( +1 Goal difference / 48 pts ) Man City (H) Liverpool (A)
9- West Ham ( -2 Goal difference / 48 pts ) Everton (A) Middlesbrough (H)

or we need to take all 6 pts

They're 2 points ahead with a better goal difference. So 4 points is probably enough for them. I have a feeling they will lose away to Newcastle though. Its a difficult situation though, because i want Spurs to finish 7th and Newcastle to go down. So hopefully Fulham draw up there, we win and then it goes to the final game of the season. We win at Anfield and Fulham win or lose.

It's Fulham's to lose, and I for one don't think they'll buckle now. They're in good form, staying tight at the back and scoring going forward. They'll beat Newcastle, meaning Spurs and West Ham will both need two wins to get 7th, and with Fulham's superior GD, they're more than capable of getting a draw at home to an Everton side more concerned with the cup final.

Fair play to them, I've never fancied them for it, and back when Wigan were the team closest to West Ham (who were 7th) I totally wrote them off, but they've proved everyone wrong and I think deserve it more than West Ham, Spurs or Citeh.
