Nike are snakes, more snake like than other sports clothing corporations. Lots of bad smells around how they structure deals, think of what they did with Brasil, or with world athletics....

Barca (28m a year), PSG (19m a year) and Man City (15m) are the only good football teams they sponsor. They must have a lot of cash to throw our way but they wont be paying more to us than they do for Barca

Man Utd are getting a shocking 75m a year for 10 years with Adidas...

Seems underarmour are paying us 10m a season

And I believe Real Madrid get £1bn over 10 years with adidas.

Edit: just read it was rubbished by adidas, unsurprisingly the deal was brought to the media by marca.

They will not be paying us more than any of those clubs. We're not big enough to warrant it.

UA and Southampton (Villa too) has been rumoured for months on the Footy Headlines website and they're pretty accurate with leaks etc.

Those deals were done some time ago. I'm sure Barca would be looking to get in the region of £80m a season on their next deal.

Whilst we may not be the biggest team in Europe I would argue that in terms of global appeal we are not far from City, especially if the season ends well, as well as having two of the English poster boys in Alli and Kane.

They cant do a deal with us based on prospective contracts with their bigger clubs. The bigger clubs will be absolutely infuriated if we get more money than them for even a year.

I disagree. Other clubs have consistently got more money when signing deals after their rivals have. It's that inflation that is consistently driving the increased money in the game as firms fight over access to the biggest clubs and the clubs constantly seek to out-do each other.

Levy is undoubtedly using the NFL link, the new stadium, the league position this season and the assumed CL place for next year to get us into the same ballpark as Chelsea, City etc. Man U are utterly out of reach at present though.

mat_k on coys: Offer from Nike for £30m a season for 5 years. Levy yet to sign but Nike think it's done
From the top in good faith. Coys

the thread is titled 'stadium sponsorship' but surely thats the kit and not the naming rights, he probably got something mixed up

don't be surprised if we negotiate a first of its kind triple deal, where Nike make our league kits, addidas make our cup kits, and Puma make our training and warm up gear :)

I'm more interested in knowing if UA are looking to match it.

Nike are Horrifically hit and miss, see England kits etc... And I don't like them as a company for ethical reasons.

I've had underarmour gear for years, well before the spurs tie in after a few trips to the US on business and their stuff lasts. Will be a shame to lose them.

Not a new rule, but looks like they or Nike are pushing it

Rule 2, section 35 of the World Cup 2014 regulations states: “Each team shall inform FIFA of two different and contrasting colours (i.e. strips). One predominately dark and one predominately light for its official and reserve kit.”

Thanks, interesting.

If Nike turn us something out like the French kits from the World Cup I'd be happy.

I like under armour but money talks.

Its worth noting Context

PSG did their deal in 2013,

Man City had a deal with umbro in 2009, which was taken over and renegotiated by Nike in 2012 which was again renegotiated in 2015(worth noting that Nike had the upper hand as they 3 years left in their last renegotiations and 6 years the previous renegotiations)

Barcelona did their deal in 2008 and have only 2 years left and apparently seeking a 75m deal from nike and are looking at adidas as well

Also worth noting Nike have lost their two big teams in the premier league in Man Utd and Arsenal

The Scum are Puma, United are Adidas.
