I've no idea what you mean, but surely this is a good thing?
Long story short Kanye West dislikes Nike so much he made a song about how much he hates them. But yeah probably is, although I do like his music though, wouldn't mind a concert there

Wonder if we could do something with the stadium naming rights at the same time. Probably doesn't hurt that Nike make all the NFL uniforms and related kit.

From The Goat:

We've been informed that Nike have already signed a deal with Spurs that relates to both the kit and stadium rights. The value will "exceed what Emirates pay Arsenal".

Nike (and the NFL) are looking to re-strengthen their position in the UK football market, hence the other deals they are doing as well.

Obviously not as spammy as someone thought! ;)

It just makes sense from a marketing, brand, and visibility perspective from all sides. And with Kane and Dier wearing their boots, we're a lovely spot for Nike to land.

I would doubt whether a top sports brand would wish to have naming rights to a football clubs stadium without the risk of pissing off all those who hated that club and as a consequence boycotted buying their brand. I know Reebok and Bolton had a partnership, but Bolton don't have the rivalry, treat and hostility we would generate, and I doubt whether Nike would take that risk..

Adidas is not an option, they are changing their approach and supplying less teams in all sports because Nike is No.1 worldwide and UA is now No.2 in America.

The latter is embarrassing for them so now their focusing on sponsoring more athletes, hiring 'better' designers' (Dolche from Nike) and fashion stuff with celebs like Kanye and his super ugly Yeezy Boost's.
They said that when the stories came out that they cancelled the chelsea contract but there are stories saying chelsea did it to be with Nike which Im struggling to believe are being paid that much. I think it could be performance based and potentially be £60m but cant see it being a £60m per year fixed contract

Barcelona are just negotiating a deal with Nike for £75m and they are an UBER club always challenging for the champions league, I cant see how they could only get £15m less than the biggest football brand in the world.

Yes Man Utd have a similar deal but they are they are an uber club considering their huge fanbase but the other thing noting is that the independent reported that Man Utd would have their kit sponsorship reduced by 30% if they don't qualify for the Champions League

Also as for Adidas. They said they wanted to supply less teams and go for the big ones, but if you look already these teams are going to get dropped by Adidas:
Southampton
Chelsea
Potentially West Brom, contract ends this season

So they will only sponsor Sunderland and Man Utd in the PL, there looks like there may be a host of cuts in the bundesliga

Now I think Nike are favourites for ourselves as they sponsor the NFL, however it could be that Adidas is making cuts to try and get the NFL back and just have a premium brand for top sports teams.

This is risky considering that Nike as things stands may not be sponsors of the NFL when the stadium is finally built

The NFL nike deal runs out in 2017. So surely we would wait for the NFL to secure the sponsorship of their next kit supplier before we sign anything

I don't think they can afford to attempt and be the sole supplier for the NFL.

They didn't attempt to renew their NBA contract and now Nike are taking over (Adam Silver is delighted and world recognition was a key factor, along with Adidas's apparently focusing on football more than basketball).

Overall they've pretty much forced themselves into a corner because of the Man Utd deal. Germany's new deal will cost a lot and Real Madrid must be itching to renegotiate. Fortunately for them Juve are only one year into their contract.

I do agree about the Chelsea figure though, they have a lot of cache but as you say, they're not an Uber club so that £60m must include be inclusive

I hid it because I've been taking this thread off topic.
