Every time I hear of interest in Meslier on here we seem to get a lot of antipathy towards him. Yet there's a lot that makes sense. Not least that he could compete with and learn from Hugo, his French compatriot next season. People seem to forget Hugo has another year left and isn't likely to leave this summer.

Meslier is not 23 until next month yet will shortly have had three full seasons in the premier league so, naysayers withstanding, he must have something about him. Yes, he makes mistakes but that comes with the learning process. Meslier's a giant at 6' 6" and makes great saves like Hugo whilst being much more agile than the similarly tall Forster.

I'm not sure if we will replace Hugo or ease him out. If we're easing him out then I can see why Meslier would be a good fit and if Leeds are relegated maybe easier to purchase.
He is younger than Austin, so can only improve. It all depends on how much Leeds want for him.
