I’m not saying I don’t like Rowe. That wasn’t really my point. My point was that I can’t see us bringing both Nusa and Rowe and for me personally I think Nusa is a really special talent.
I know, I'm just trying to get across that maybe it isn't one or the other.

Could be looking at a fluid front 3 with the possibility of alternating to wide wingers too.

If we are future planning, then both make sense. Nusa is more of a winger, and Rowe potentially more central.

They are both young, and would not make our first team this season, but with the possibility of Europe and a cup run next season, we will need all the future talent, we can afford.

I’m with Ghost on this. If we sign Rowe then we won’t have room to bring in someone like Nusa and I don’t think Rowe is the ceiling raiser we need.

We already have:
Son, Solomon, Johnson, Kulusevski and Gil as wide options. Gil will likely go but should be replaced with an elite talent imo.

The next wide player we bring in has got to be a proper special talent or already a quality player.

Son has played mainly as a striker and is 31 with only 18 months left on his contract, Solomon has been injured for 30 games in the season and a half, Kulusevski could be used more in the centre in the future and I don't see Gil being kept beyond the season.

Not saying we will, but signing both with one (or both) staying on loan would be pretty good succession planning.

It wouldn't surprise me if we tried to move Solomon and Lo Celso on in the summer. When you look at how often Ange subbed and/or rotated his front 5 at Celtic and consider that the EPL is much more physically demanding, we need players, especially in those positions, that are reliably fit and available.

Worth keeping in mind Rowe (20) is also two years older than Nusa (18). Not only that Nusa already has 4 caps and 1 goal for Norway. Imo Nusa is a very special talent.
Oh I'm not disputing that, it's just that using those stats as a comparison is quite misleading.

And there’s also Werner, my and your feelings of him as a WF aside, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if we end up keeping him. What he lacks in technical ability Ange might well think he makes up for in work ethic, pace and positioning. He does certainly seem to value those elements highly.

As you say, I just don’t see us getting two young forwards currently. Even with CL I think we’d struggle to give them both minutes. And a talent like Nusa, who already turned down a lot of money from Chelsea, is not going to go somewhere he is far down the pecking order. Not that he will expecting to start but still. With young players they need game time to develop and reading interviews with Nusa he really seems to have head in the right place when it comes to thinking about his future.

I know Son has been playing CF but we have also been heavily linked with a move for Giménez. Yes that is probably more of a move we would make if we were to sell Richy but ether way I'm not convinced Son will be considered our starting CF going forward. Rotation yes, but i think he will switch between LW and CF. Maybe if we sell Solomon but I think its way way too soon to be talking about him moving this summer. We have no idea how he will fit yet and who knows, he may be a revelation. Further more if we were to sell Solomon and not get Werner then I'm not convinced we would necessarily look to bring in two young project forwards to replace them, I feel like we would target at least one player further along in his development.

Its also worth noting that Nusa has also played well on the RW. Maybe he’s not as comfortable on his left as Rowe but it’s not like Nusa is purely one sided either. IDK, time will tell but I just don't see us spending what would probably be around £50-60 mil on two very young WF's who might not start producing for a few seasons. I think with young players one shouldn't assume every one will slot right in like Udogie and Sarr.

I'd never heard of this guy before yesterday, but he certainly looks a real talent. However, I've just discovered Jaden Philogene isn't on loan at Hull from Villa, but they actually own him. I was jealous of Villa as I assumed they had an obvious future England player. Why did they him go? Seems very odd to me. He's a player I'd have loved us to sign, but assumed it was impossible.

My Dad mentioned him to me in the summer and he seems to be doing really well.

I think Villa may have a buy back clause.
