Will Eric dier ever turn up in a big game? I’m sick to death of him either seemingly disappearing all game or making a game changing error

He loves to give it the big one in interviews but never once has he backed it up

Poch not playing rose is a bit hypocritical too. Goes on about the two games in a week thing and then plays davies twice; and he looked dead in the second half.

I’d trade this run in the champions league for an FA Cup win in a second by the way. I’ve loved it this season in the CL but I want the FA cup more.

Nothing to do with bottling it and feck all to do with substitutions the second half was down to pure naivety plain and simple.

Allow me to explain ehem.

You are 1 -0 up in a game where your oppoents are not having a sniff have not had a shot on target and have to score 2 goals ?

So you push right up your midfielders are pressing there back 4 and you look for that elusive killer 2nd goal ?

Or you tell your centre mids to sit in and sheild your cb that are a youngster and a man on a yellow your full backs stop playing as wing forwards and drop a bit deeper and you counter a team that have to push up and go for broke when you have proved that your actually quite good at counter attacking football against some of the best let alone a ageing back line that lack pace for a counter attack. ?

Sorry chaps but that second half was naivety at it' finest juve go a goal up and then teach us how we should have started the second half until we start to manage games better we will always be vulnerable to that kind of result.

Hopefully we learn now and don' sulk and go out and smash the fucking granny out of every prem team and fa cup team in till the seasons over and go at the cl again nxt season and have a silver pot to polish.
Then again if we’d sat back and invited more pressure and they scored 2 that way Poch would be slated for being too negative so not sure I agree really. Our game management was fine for most of the game except about 5 minutes and most especially after they got back to 1-1 we should’ve at that point shut up shop a bit an cut their momentum at least for 10 mins or so.

Well at least we have improved from last season in this comp, despite having to play all our home games at Wembley.

Hope the boys don’t let their heads drop and not concentrate on our next challenge ahead - Bournemouth.

Could be a blessing never thought we could have won the CL and we might have gone one more round at the cost of the FA Cup or top 4 which are within reach

You can't be missing chances like we have and expect to progress against a side as professional as Juventus. We've been so good and are so close to something but it's the old winning successful club beats losing unsuccessful club in the end thing. The only reason Juve went through is because of the experience of success and the winning mentality they have, they found a way even though we were the better side overall. Fuck knows what answer is but in the hugest of huge games in the last three seasons we've fell short every time. Let's win the FA Cup and see if that helps going forward.

Unfortunately not. It's annoying because it's something that you wouldn't associate with a team over a wide number of games, missing good chances that is but it seems to be our achilles heel a lot of the time. I'm really not sure if we miss more good chances than your average team as I obviously don't watch other teams like I do Spurs but it certainly feels like it.

I don’t understand the abuse I’m getting from Arsenal fans all over social media right now. It’s like they’ve waited all season for this one opportunity to stick the boot in.... they lost to fucking brighton and hove Sunday!

Anyway. I never expected to win the champions league and the main excitement was to see us against the big teams, we’ve got to play Madrid, Juve and Dortmund home and away and lost 1 game! That’s amazing

Exactly- they lost to Brighton and 13 points behind.

We have a better stadium, better training ground, Better futureand have just lost to Italian champions in front of 84 thousand people.

I also didn’t understand why we were trying to take every free kick and throw in as quick as possible all game. That made no sense

For those of you struggling with losing a competitive football match, can I suggest you start supporting Celtic.

We have been excellent in UCL this year and a loss to Juve who celebrated like they had won the final is no shame.

Fancy us for a big season finale.

We lick our wounds,we learn a salutory lesson and we move on. In all fairness they thoroughly deserved a penalty when it was 0-0 and who can say what would have happened then. Their manager assessed the game and problems at half time and made changes...we simply didn't adapt to them and suddenly we were the ones coming under pressure. It's nasty medicine but you have to swallow it and always remember how much it hurt. They are a class act and have years and years of experience in such tough matches. I will not point the finger at any particular Spurs player for this defeat...we were simply out thought tactically. I just hope we take a firm grip on our chance of winning the FA Cup now and secure a top three spot. Next season we come back...stronger but more importantly..wiser (y)

Was doing ok until he picked up that knock in the latter sages of the first half. I love his defensive side but do think he needs to remember he isn't Pirlo. Tries far too many long cross field balls the majority of which never reach their target. It's the only reason why I prefer Vic in that position when fit.

Come on it's to be expected, only joy they're gonna get from footy is by basking in someone else's misery :D

Don't tell me you didn't take the piss when Gallas cried on the pitch at Birmingham, cause that season if I recall we were utter shit and really had no place lording it over them but that's how it goes.

Just get your own back on Thursday or whenever cause the'll lose again.

This a first season when Trippier and Davies are considered as first choice. They both showed they have great abilities but in crucial moments they miss this one year of development and experience that Rose and Walker have.

With two of Toby, Rose, Walker we would be in quarter finals. I do belive that Sanchez, Trippier, Davies, Aurier can reach their level or even more. But that's who we missed to do something big in europe this season.

It hurts cause it was so close and we have to wait another season.

Lifting Fa cup can help us make that step from puting pressure to winning cups. This team is almost ready. Keep all the players that started today and we will be even better next season.

9-12 games to go now.

Give everything, wise up and take our chances! If we can do that we will achieve something.

Ignore the haters, just take pride in the club and how far we've come. We haven't been humiliated 10-2 or lost disgracefully.

No shame...
Bar a bad 10-15 minutes over two games of football, we dominated a European giant.

Naive? Maybe... I do believe a defeee of experience over quality won out today and whilst it's gutting, we gave a very good account of ourselves.

Best way to get over it, re-qualify through the league and win FA cup!

At 1-0 Beglin on commentary said Juve haven't threatened spurs at all, I turned to my dad and said I hate when they say that kind of shit and within 10 seconds Higuain scored ffs. Couldn't make it up.

I clocked that and knew it was gonna bite us in the arse
