This^^ and this is what worries me most. Kane is a shadow of the player before his ankle injury. If it is fatigue we are screwed as it isn’t going to get any better.

I think it's tactics. He is dropping deep and Lucas is furthest forward. Needs to be out wide and Kane up top to bully van dick.

We are playing into their hands and it's all damn meh.

Don't think we can complain about being behind.

This is just more of the same tbh. Lacking real sharpness with the ball (and especially in the final third), without it we lack any intensity with our press, are not compact, and so open to being played through. And Poch with some of these selections, always going with two strikers and ultra narrow midfields, is just fucking compounding it and I don't know what he is thinking. He's been complaining about performances, yet keeps serving up the same stuff.

We had about 5, maybe 10 minutes where we enjoyed a morsel of control, but need to go through several gears here in the second half and start putting in a performance.

We look quite disinterested in this game - Kane having one of his more customary quiet games. The fact we are one down and Liverpool not exactly playing their best stuff up front is a concern for the 2nd half. Playing like the away team in terms of belief. Only Moura is looking like he wants to compete - Poch can't be happy with that 1st half.

Surely Moura is more effective in a wide right role cutting in and driving forward. This experiment of playing him up front with Kane is hampering us.

Harry needs a rocket and start working a bit harder. He’s jogged about.

Lamela has to come on.

My issue is that once again Poch has decided to changed his team for the opposition just like Watford.

Klopp hasn't thought right we're playing spurs away I must change everything we do just to combat the opposition.

Poch is so negative at times...

Something is definitely missing. Either the desire isn't where it should be from some of them or we haven't been able to sort out our shortcomings.

Anyway, Lamela for Eriksen. Needs a rocket up his arse. If he was at Barca he wouldn't be getting away with these 'on the periphery' performances, he'd be benched.

We've got all the tools to control the game, we're outnumbering them in midfield but our sloppy passing isn't making that advantage count.

We were definitely in control.

This is liverpool who usually run over teams and run rampant on the flanks.

We tamed them and were steering the game.

Their chances have nearly all come from individual nonsense on the ball.

Our overall game had been good and we were gaining a firmer foothold and you could smell a goal for us.

Then we just HAND them a goal ffs.

So sick of it.

It's so annoying.

I wouldn’t say we were in control. Their front players remained more dangerous than ours all half, but I do agree that in the last 10 minutes we were beginning to settle down and the goal came after our best period.

Very annoying and frustrating.

Can’t complain about being 1-0 down, we deserve worse to be honest. Big question for me is why we are not playing Kane as the furthest forward player? That is absolutely criminal from Poch and if he continues to do it then I don’t see Kane getting past 15 goals this year.

Son and Lamela HAS to come on in the second half
Hopefully Poch doesn’t take long to make changes again
Hopefully Poch shows some guts and pulls Eriksen at half. Utterly atrocious to start the season and its been worse today.

No surprises that the issues are coming from our centre midfield that we failed to address in the summer.

A classic Dembele performance. All filler no killer.

Dier, boring.

Winksy, sideways and circles. Just a boy.

There is just no link between the midfield and attacking players, doesn't look like we have a goal in us set up like this.

How long will Pochettino watch things fall apart before he changes things? He took too long at Watford, will he have learned.
