I'm not sure how people can try and pick so many faults in Corluka's game yesterday. Yes he made a few mistakes as does every other player in the history of football. The bottom line is he had a very good game, tackling was good, reading of the play was good, calm on the ball and good passing.

Not sure what more people want really.

I'm sure they were all very happy in the days of Dean Austin.

I actually thought Corluka played very well yesterday and we should be happy that we have true competition for the right back slot.

I have found another bitter Liverpool fan, really what game was this guy watching? Don't know why Ledley is a **** though  It must be for keeping Torres out of the game for the full 93 minutes.

My view - first half we looked disjointed, nobody wanted to put their foot on the ball and dictate the pace, it was all a bit scrappy and Tottenham were better at scrappy football with the quick ball up to the forwards.

Redknapp would of wanted us to rush balls and look for long balls and we fell in to the trap; must admit that Redknapp had them playing shithouse tactics basically niggling our players off the ball and nudging, pushing and tugging even when the ball was not near them. Then these players took tumbles at any given opportunites looking for freekicks and set pieces. Second half we were more fluent in spells and had a better shape but still for long spells we just rushed the ball and played to Spurs tactics

Torres found it hard because the ball he had was shit and in the wrong place plus King being a fucking **** and needing a slap didn't help. Lucas gave 100% and put in a decent performance and was the only player in our team who actually wanted to kick off at Spurs when he went at Huddlestone for another shithouse tackle on Torres. Sammy Lee did well as well.

Babel needs to pick up his game and a few other need to pick up their game. I will say we looked slightly rusty and tactics looked off. Its a shame the ref booked our players early since this meant we could not play spurs at their own game.

Anyway could of had a second penalty and without Aurelio, Agger, Aqualani, Riera and Ngog it was going to be hard

Finally, the Spurs fans are chirpy ****s with shit songs and Hoddle should stick to bending spoons

when he went at Huddlestone for another shithouse tackle on Torres

Was that when Hudd moved across to block Torres who then went to kind of scissor one of Hudds ankles but did fuck all, then Lucas came in and tryed to push Hudd....

Torres also tryed to push King and King just had a small smile to him self.

I'd have liked to have seen Naughton brought on for Lennon yesterday, just to give that little more defensively and a better crosser of the ball for Crouch to maybe get on the end of a few balls.

That said, the fact that Crouch was brought on for Keane instead of Roman Pavluychenko is an absolute disgrace.

Absolutely. Redknapp out.

Gomes wasn't awsome and thats not a criticism its just that he had pretty much bugger all to do and so never had an opporunity to be awsome.
I can't remember one save he had to make.
The only one was Gerrard's shot from the left that he pushed over. That was a feature of last season's defensive home record, that Gomes rarely had saves to make.

The Liverpool fan clearly needs his head checked.

We didn't scrap our way to victory, we outpassed and outclassed them.

King had Torres in his pocket all game because unlike Carragher, King is a top class centre back.

If anything, Torres is lucky the ref did not see his shove on King or kick on Hudd.

And they're accusing us of fouling and diving? I suppose they missed Skrtel and Mascherano's plethora of ridiculously bad challenges, while Torres spends more time on his back than a cheap hooker. Lennon, Modric and Defoe, on the other hand, almost always try to stay on their feet, going down only when there is no other option available.

Scousers are such idiots.

I loved it when Torres pushed King who pretty much laughed at him. The push didn't even move Ledley.

'Without Ngog, it was always going to be hard'. The response to that and indeed the whole post is 'eh?'.

Good news is that Abi Clancy was sitting in one of the executive boxes (box 108 if memory serves me correctly) on the shelf side and is easily visible from where I sit/stand. Well, about as visible as a midget can be peering over a wall.

She looked better than three metre Peter (© Stoof) did

is the palaious - Hudd midfield partnership now a regular thing or was that just the case for this game?

guessing Rednapp i think palacios will have a few partners. Personally i would go with it for the season. He'll have a few bad games but if you stick with him he'll turn yesterdays performance into a regular thing.

At home I could see that as a regular pair. In difficult away games we may need a little bit more steel in the centre than huddlestone can offer.

I thought everyone was excellent yesterday, it was a great team performance. Rather than moaning lets bask in the glory of beating liverpool and beating them goooood!!!

Me only quarm about yesterday was that the game wasn't at 3pm on saturday as soon as the finally wistle went i just wanted to get battered and celebrate the win. Went down the B&H after the game and it was pretty much empty about 1hr after the game had finished and that nagging sunday feeling stopped me from going too mad.

You should've come and said 'ello. There were a few of us still around after the game.

Think the lack of tube was a big contributor in people not staying behind yesterday, more than just the Sunday feeling.
