As long as our fans have such a defeatist attitude "spursy" things will keep happening

Just have to pray the actual crowd have a bit more faith and get behind the team
As long as the team are spursy fans will not be non spursy. Ad long as they put a shift in, that's all I want to see.

To be fair, the only times that I've liked what I've seen from Sissoko have been when he's in a central position and if he can provide some drive from the middle it may not be so bad, trying to think positive!

I know he's not in there for just such reasons, but I actually think he has the potential to provide in an offensive sense more than any of our other central midfielders. Main problem is his lack of damn composure and steady footing.

I can understand the thought process behind picking Sissoko against his former club but this is really not the right match for him at all IMO. They're a well-drilled side that will remain organised and resolute, what we need is tempo and incision not a battering ram.

As much as I agree with this, in all fairness we really haven't shown this at all for quite a while and I really don't know why. High tempo play that is. We saw it for 20 minutes against United but before that the last time was maybe the FA Cup match away to Swansea. Everything else has been passive passing, side to side, extremely slow build up etc. And if we're not able to conjure up that high tempo play, I'd probably rather see a battering ram in Sissoko than someone who just wants to play safe and I only say that because the other forward players don't seem to be delivering. Whether I stand by that comment come the end of the match I'm not sure :D

Delighted to see Sissoko in there if for no other reason than to wind up the moronic bitch sat behind me who will doubtless spend all match abusing him with her Pauline Fowler voice! Hope he slices a volley straight into her face!
Same with the fat Phil Mitchell impressionist behind me...

That central midfield has turgid written all over it. Hopefully we grind out a 1-0 though
I think Newcastle will play more open that people think - and I think that will help Sissoko have a good game pushing through the middle. Wanyama just needs to get back to last year's form, and play the disrupter role.

the Last time we played sissoko and wanyama was against west ham. That was horrible. Hopefully tonight will be different

You think fans online have a say in what the team does on the pitch? Only thing the fans can conceivably do is give the team a lift by making noise while at the games. The rest is completely up to the players and the manager putting the right players in a position to win.

If things aren't working out...I so hope Poch will make required changes earlier as opposed to the usual late remedy attempting changes that occur.
