We shouldn't have to be saving the game considering the shite that has been served up from the officials in the first half ...

Sissoko has been OK. Winks has been poor, but the whole game has been played at a mad tempo. I can’t believe Rochdale can keep this up.

Winks not having a spell in the lower leagues hasn’t prepped him for games like this.

Seriously what has happened to Winks?? He has goine from fighting for one of the midfield starting places and an England starter to dog shit. Something has happened in the lads head. Do what ever is needed to get him back in the right head space.

you would think that if the VAR has so many opportunities to view the replay, that they would get everything right, after all that is why it was bought in

it ridiculous how they can get the opportunity to watch the replays in slo mo and still get it wrong

We're seeing the death of football, here. Imagine having to pause celebrating a late-winner. Imagine how many footballing moments would have been lost had it been for VAR.

Shearer said the other night, play your best team, get 3 or 4 goals and take them off. Now we'll end up bringing them on to save the game.

If our squad players are not good enough to beat bottom of league one then what is the point of having them at the club?

I take back what I said about the penalty. It's a foul outside, not inside, and Son does definitely do worse that a normal feint, he pretty much stops completely.

Now that first disallowed goal, THAT was a complete and utter farce.
That penalty was a mess all round.

I actually thought the foul was outside and it shouldn't have been given. Wrong decision.

But then once we had the penalty that decision with Son was a joke. There is no clear cut rule that disallows that goal, never mind disallowing it without a retake.

Don't even get me started on the first goal.

Ok, I’m going to say it, Foyth reminds me of an Argentinian Bunjevjevic (whatever).

Sissoko is so limited it’s painful and Winks is looking worse every time he plays now.

If Son could actually control the ball he’d be the Asian Pele. Even that penalty, though harsh, was more pronounced than most who just hesitate, he stopped, did the Times crossword, then stroked it home. Fucking plum

Lamela’s been his usual erratic self, some good, some bad. And Llorente seems to be playing the game at a different pace to everyone else.

We need to press these fuckers high up, their defence is pony.

This game has nothing to do with the players, no incompetent VAR and we're out of sight, it's taken away our leads, made wrong call after wrong call whilst ruining the flow and just killed the game as anything other than a farcical display of nonsense, for the nuetral it's more entertaining than a circus but nothing to do with football what I've watched today.

Well, if we were 3-1 up, then people would still be noticing the level of performance from Winks I imagine, but as I posted above, even performances can be excused a touch given the circumstances. I’m not saying we abolish all blame because things have gone against us, plenty of players wouldn’t let that have a negative effect on them, quite the opposite actually, but the cheating/incompetency might have Winks and co so wound up it’s becoming a problem etc
