@Trix Oh and worth mentioning there has been lots of enquiries regarding the core first team players. Apart from Walker it's a simple case of not for sale!
Hertyid: Dier not for sale.
Grey Fox: I asked about the stories about Dier going for 50m and Walker being unhappy and to quote my contact " :ROFLMAO: you think Levy is stupid?

If this isn't part of a scheme to bring Bale back then it's an extremely unwise move.

I think TT that the fee will be just too much to turn down, and as versatile as Dier is, as a midfielder he leaves a lot to be desired in my humble opinion.

Against the very best (and we have seen that in the PL and CL) he can be left dead against pace.

Do i want to see him leave, well like Walker i do not BUT when you look at the squad as a whole we have sufficient cover.

Levy (and Poch) are not stupid, and will get exactly what they want, the main concern is spending the proceeds wisely.

With a likely collective fee for Walker and Dier topping around the one hundred million mark, we should be able to strengthen the squad by some margin.

Thought it was a lie and the club have confirmed it's bs. Do papers like the Telegraph just write this crap for web traffic or are they trying to unsettle players I wonder.

'Left dead against pace'! That I haven't seen, he's one of the quickest in the squad and I'm glad he's not for sale, especially to a rival!
I could go on about how I think he will develop and get better but he is already an invaluable member of the squad/team, can play comfortably in several positions and is a leader and one of a group that genuinely seem to get on and buy into the managers plans.

So far today I've seen this story and one that says he is not for sale at any price. Its very confusing being a Spurs supporter this time of year.

Is it possible that MP has told Levy that Dier is no longer thought of as a core player? Last summer he replaced Dier in midfield, so I find it plausible he might do it again and find a specialist right sided defender.

For me Dier takes a lot of credit for our excellent defensive record, so we certainly should not be considering selling one of our most flexible and consistent players.

Dier is vital to the system we play, he understands his role perfectly going from midfield to defence when we lose the ball and joining the mid when we have it, he does it well, he's going nowhere.
