I don't think he's the tactically naive manager many remember. People learn and improve, plus he tries to play decent football. Still wouldn't be my choice but I don't think he's a disaster. Certainly makes more sense than Scott Parker who annoyingly remains among the favourites for the job.

From Poch, to Mourinho to Martinez seems like a steady decline - but it could actually be a very smart move.

I can't make my mind up about Martinez. He did a similar job to Potter at Swansea & Wigan, but it went pear shaped at Everton for him at Everton. He's done well with Belgium, although not without his critics & some say he should have won something at International level with the crop of players he had at his disposal, so I'm undecided.
