It is unlikely that Josh Onomah and Harry Winks will play with Tottenham’s first team anytime soon.

I have to agree with the blogger here, I can't see them getting much game time unfortunately. Not sure why they weren't sent on loan at the beginning of the season.

this is so typical of what happens to english talent, then by the time they hit 21 they've lost three years of football and people wonder why they haven't lived up to their promise. onomah i wish we'd just play(gradually), winks i think would be better going out on loan to a championship or even league one side.

They weren't sent on loan right away because we thought we might used them in the league cup or Europa League. Clearly that's not going to happen now so let's get them some games. Same may apply to Carter-Vickers and even Pritchard. Oduwa, Ball and Yedlin are getting game time so the opportunity to develop. If a couple more could improve as well that's a gain for the club.

Forget Yedlin he's done, I am very sure he won't be considered good enough to play for us, Pritchard I think has every chance of getting games. For all the rest yep send them out on loan but I am not all that confident about them getting games in the future. I think Poch is under pressure to compete for top four and because of that I think it's going to be hard for the youth to break through as it means taking risks.

If the Poch is under pressure to make top-four with the transfer & wage budget he's supposed to work with, then Levy is madder than I thought & the manager may as well quit now.

The main aim for us is to try & put some silverware in the trophy-cabinet. As strange as it sounds that seems more realistic to achieve than a champs league finish. We really need to put in a top effort in the remaining cups that we're involved with.

Injuries means we have a small midfield and maybe there is a plan to integrate them.

I feel like some underrate the benefits of training with the first team day in and day out under the guidance of our excellent coaches. If we can't secure a good loan where they're guaranteed to play week in and out under a decent coach, I'd rather they stay with us then be shipped off to Yeovil and get the shit kicked out of them on a crappy pitch.

Pritchard is going to struggle to play for us in the second half of the season so if we're not going to play him I'd loan him out. Of course if Poch is thinking of playing him I'd rather he stayed but my fear is he'll just make the bench at best. We have Lamela, Son, Clinton, Chadli and Townsend who are ahead of him right now. Unless we have an injury crisis, he's better off getting in the first team somewhere else.

They are not getting any game time with all our current injuries so if they dont get a run now it aint gonna happen in the near future.

They need game time.

A few months training with the first team will be good experience for both of them and let them know how close or far they are to established internationals. It's also an important time for Poch and co to assess their levels and give them some precious coaching.

I'm sure the coaching staff are very aware maintaining their steady development.

Maybe we can play Pritchard, Winks, Onomah, Carter-Vickers, Carrol, Trippier, Alli, Vorm, Wimmer, Fazio, Davies all (or some of them) in starting eleven for a Cup game, because i think we will not going to compete 100% in all competitions. Let say Europa League or top four = CL. And the cup games can be used to play our young players so they'll get game times. *in my humble opinion

Fazio should never play for us again, we should be trying to compete on all fronts Jol did it. He got 5th, semi final of league cup, quarter final of league cup and Uefa cup on much less resources. So I don't see why we cant do that. It's no good just playing them in cup games, someone like Wimmer needs premier league experience.

I think Pritchard is capable of competing for a starting place. Townsend is on borrowed time I think, he has to get it together this season or he'll probably be sold, same with Lamela but Lamela looks to be coming good now.Son is the real deal, Clinton will need time to develop Chadil and Eriksen have patchy form right now. We will have to see what the situation is like when Pritchard gets fit.

Maybe Fazio cost us points sometimes, but i think he could be useful if there was a time when we can give a rest for our Solid defenders Duo (Jantoby), especially for Cup game, plus we can play Wimmer too. And I agree we must try to play Wimmer in PL game. But i still not so sure if he quick enough to compete against PL pacey strikers. IMHO again

We tried to sell Fazio to west brom, he has no future with us, I prefer to call in one of our young defenders.

It is much more realistic unfortunately putting silverware in the trophy cabinet is not the main aim of the club and I don't think it has ever been. We are already out of one competition because we played an understrength side against Arsenal.
From Poch.

"If you achieve the Europa League, it might not be the dream of the club or the supporters, but you need to play it because it is good for the financial side of the club," he said.

"The most important thing is to be ambitious and to understand we need to try and build a strong team for next season to fight for the top four, and after if you reach the top four, fantastic, but you need to be competitive and ambitious to make the conditions to fight for the top positions."

We had a very decent run of games with him and Vertonghen last season. He's won more than anyone else in the team and yet you say he should never play for us again. He's made some high profile mistakes but with a decent defensive midfielder like Dier around him (which he's never played with here) I think he'd be OK.
