Reports on the fee indicate it won't be a record fee. £75m is the consensus. AVB won't know as he's not involved in negotiations. Striking that he was directly critical of Bale. I can't see what Bale gained from not attending training, apart from making his frustration at delays being openly known.

All things said and done, Real Madrid could now be a competitor for the Champions League and I'm definitely looking forward to Barca v Madrid: Bale & Ronaldo v Messi & Neymar :geek:

It's just sunk in that Spurs would have lost King, Modric, VDV and Bale in just one year :( ouch.

Do you not get the fact that some fans just want some respect to be shown to the club and therefore them, the club that has made him? It's not about it being a good deal for us or not or getting the money we want..It's a disappointment that we are now so far removed from these players that we cherish and that to them the club means fuck all. What is even worse is thatt I've listened for 2 years to people saying 'he's not like that', well he is and he's left on bad terms in a petulant manner.. showing that blatantly he doesnt care about his teammates, the manager, the fans who have supported him etc

Hear hear.

The reporter mentioned Lamela, Erikson and Chichires (can't spell most of these names) and AVB said they were also looking at other names the reporter hadn't mentioned.

AVB gives Bale the weekend off and Bale repays him by going on strike, pretty poor behaviour by any stretch of the imagination.

I think it shows up Bale's temperament/character a bit. Whether we like them or not, Suarez and Rooney have shown some balls, turned up and fronted things out. Bale in comparison has run away and hid.

Couldn't agree more. When you start behaving worse than Suarez and Rooney that should be the warning sign that you're either losing your grip on reality or that you need new advisors.

It's a really sad end but don't see why the club and us fans should pay his wages whilst he is effectively on strike. If you don't fine a player for this then when do you?

Barca v Real will be an excellent watch but can't say I agree with you on the CL. Just can't see RM winning it with their players egos. They'll never work or fight as a team, if Mourinho couldn't do it then I'm not sure anyone else can being honest. My money would be on Barca or Bayern, two sides that play as a team. You don't win anything with just a group of individuals.
