The people interested in bidding according to the FT must have been given some steer from enic they are interested in selling, pretty sure sensible people like they sound don't spend a while putting together a bid to be told no we aren't interested in selling ever
All dependant on price, and levy wanting to stay on if thats true is egoistical nonsense, they aren't spending 4 billion to keep the same head of business on

So... The BBC now saying:

Tottenham's owners have no intention of selling the club and are committed to their long-term plans.

But with no quotes... The plot thickens.
Something to do with reassuring investors talking about a partial sale?

BBC football correspondents don't usually jump the gun on stories unless they have it on very high authority. So I imagine that's accurate. Maybe the intention will change if a second offer is made and the owners are trying to play bluff with prospective buyers by starting a bidding war though. We'll see.

If someone offers enough they will sell

Why do people give any credence to unsubstantiated quotes from 'sources' is anyone's guess.

Much like when you get individuals like Aulas stating "X isn't for sale or going anywhere" you know there's more afoot.

It's poker face time and negotiations galore so let's see what pans out as opposed to living through media outlets as if its gospel.

Isn’t that word for word what sky were saying earlier?
Consortium led by yatta yatta yatta and then 'putting together a bid', followed by 'there has been no approach and no contact'. But the club is not for sale. Fucking hell, they do try don't they.

There's nothing there but guesswork and I don't buy for one minute he's been 'briefed' by someone at the club to say that. All we know is that someone is 'putting together a bid'. And even that's not 100% reliable.

Honestly, that drone voiced Kave Solhekol guy is as boring to listen to as fuck as well as thick as pigshit and Sky probably thinks the average fan is as well.

Doesn’t really matter if the club is up for sale or not everything has a price.
I think everyone knows we are available to buy and have been for a number of years. I mean, regardless of Levy, look at old Joe. I honestly think at this point in his life he cares next to nothing about us. Im sure it’s the same as always in that he will sell when his valuation is met or at least close enough to it. If it actually happens now tho is anyone’s guess.

No quoted doesn't make the information less reliable, far from it. The bbc have been certainly been told that from someone close to whats going on. The question is more if the info is about ENIC trying to get more money or if it is a rejection of the bid entirely. Worth noting 'No intention' =\= no possibility of sale. But I personally think its more likely the bid fails than succeeds.

In my experience, professional investors absolutely do put together bids with no knowledge of the availability of the target.

But ENIC is an investment company so there absolutely is a price at which they’d sell.

I don’t think anyone can reliably guess the outcome of this story from what we know so far.

They bid last year and the papers are only just picking up wind of it according to a reliable poster on Coys. I don’t think there is anything in it, that bid anyway. But let’s see.
