ENIC's defenders will say that they have elevated the club out of mid-table mediocrity and improved all of the infrastructure.

But, remember they have done all of that to their benefit too. When they sell up, they will be the big winners as they'll walk away with a huge profit.

I'd even go as far to say that they have also made the club a hugely profitable venture for the next buyers too.

So we still get the short straw.

I’m starting to wonder if the delay in the accounts being published is because they’ve taken dividends for the first time ahead of selling to get more money out of the club and don’t want to have to deal with supporter kick back?

Interesting theory but I don't really see waiting till February is going to lessen the attacks if they did. If anything it would intensify them.

Just kicking the can down the road? They’ve got till the end of March to release them anyway. Usually when we’ve posted huge profits they can’t wait to tell us do something is up. I don’t believe it is anything to do with the transfer window because the accounts are up until June 2022 so don’t let other teams know what we have in the bank. Something else is up or the accountants are slow of course!

Yes, there's clearly a reason but I don't think avoiding a slating from the fans is the most likely. My guess would be something money related, maybe tax.

I've been wrong before though. ?

That does not really make sense, imo.

First, the dividend would have been in the last fiscal year, so June '22. Second, they committed to £150M in new equity into the club in that same time period.

Taking dividends out, which are taxable, while putting new money in is not how billionaires become, or stay, billionaires.

No news is good news. If nobody has reported it's fallen through then I'd suggest they're still talking and I bet they're talking to others aswell.

Maybe Paratici has been fiddling them.

I just watched a bit of this and if you change the name West Ham for spurs and Kretinsky for Qataris, it sounds really familiar.

They are still talking to us. If it is to happen, you really think with all the legals involved it will happen overnight?

As I was saying earlier, if I was getting into bed with Enic I’d be looking at everything as close as possible. No way I’d leave a stone unturned.

Very true and some people need a reality check, it takes on average 12-18 weeks at the moment to sell a simple two bed house and sort out the legals on that so how on earth do we expect a club to be bought/ invested in in 7 days. And my solicitor can’t even tell me how far the deals progressing so god help us trying to find out how this deals going. No news is good news in this case, well that’s the way I’m looking at it anyway

We only found out about the talks 11 days ago, they could have started weeks or months ago for all we know

The longer they go on the more optimistic I am of a favourable outcome

I agree, hopefully this is just the finalisation meetings after all the groundwork has been done.

I posted the West Ham video earlier which came out a month before the Czech guy bought in with his 27% of them. Sounds like it was expected to be an American company was expected to buy them but this guy was the one all along and had been working it for a while. The video is worth a watch because it seems like there are some similarities with what’s going on with us.

Basically could be soon or could be a while. Impossible to tell.

This. You buy a house. Do the kitchen, do the loft. Sell up. D. Levy has a first in economics and land economy from Cambridge. The whole thing has just been a glorified house sale. Like a really bald episode of Location, Location, Location.

it might all look nice to prospective buyers, but give that kitchen wall a tap. Cheap plasterboard. No reclaimed bricks here. Just those shit, airy modern ones.
