If we all volunteer to get hit by cars we can pool together the GoFundMe and Life Insurance policy payouts (all gave some, some gave all, you get it) and buy the club.

I own 250 shares in the club and have had them since 2003. I can confirm that I've not been approached by the Qatari's yet. I'll keep you posted on any developments. I'm a bit put out I wasn't invited to be involved in the initial talks to be honest, but I guess that's what happens when I don't answer my phone to unknown numbers.

Reading through the thread there seems to be some thoughts that a non-QSI option is out there from Qatar. Either Qatar Investment Authority directly, or a private non-sovereign Qatari investor.

Almost two weeks ago the news about QSI broke. Since then pretty much nothing. Feels like the talks have broken down. Or have I missed something?

Its Tottenham, Its Levy, nothing is done promptly, everything takes ages. Whether it is transfers (except last last summer out of 22 years), the stadium or naming rights. It takes ages but for some reason other clubs can conclude things a lot quicker. Always excuses with this club.

Who knows how long it took, was relatively quick from the time we heard about it, but that doesn't mean they weren't talking for ages first.

I'd also imagine a straight up full sale would be easier and quicker to do than a big money percentage of the club.

Absolutely, Trix. QSI will demand legal assurances in return for their investment. I imagine these might
include:

A seat (or seats) on the board​

First refusal if ENIC decide to sell up​

Agreement on the budget and large expense items​

Some form of independent arbitration where ENIC's and QSI's aims diverge​

QSI will be looking to be associated with a successful team as judged by trophies and league position. In the past ENIC have judged success by the P&L Account and Balance Sheet. It would make more sense for QSI to invest in Liverpool.

We don't actually know anything for certain other than that we have been talking to QSI.

For good or bad don’t think this will happen. Qatar will offer a sum for 10% of the club valuing the total club at £4bn and Levy/ENIC will want the equivalent of £7-8bn.
