FT have kept their story going - its on the front cover of tomorrow's (Thursday's) print edition, more than 12 hours after they broke it. Clearly still highly confident of their sources.
The FT wouldn’t have published anything without two verified sources.

Fair play for avoiding (deliberately I suspect) the usual soundbites on this and you do have a point........BUT............If Levy were to sell to anyone, that risk is there. Wether we as fans want it or not, that risk is there. Obviously there will always be that doubt or risk, no matter who, no matter when, that is a chance that will eventually be taken by Levy regardless of our 'wants'.

Given the well documented problems with them here on SC, it's hardly surprising that any 'risk' is one a lot of people might be willing to take. Wether that proves to be a good thing or not, well, nobody knows.

And one final point on this. If new owners are seen to be taking a chance or risky, then the chance that they'll actually prove to be 'better' at the football side is surely at least equal to that. All we can do is see how it plays out really.

Risk, what risk? Come Elon, come to The Tottenham! ?

I believe Joe Lewis definitely wants out now, so a full takeover would suit him perfectly. The problem is Daniel Levy doesn't want to necessarily leave yet. I'm sure we have had 2 or 3 if not a couple more bids over that last couple of years that ultimately come to nothing as he wanted to remain as 'CEO' and carry on this project. I am not sure how it would work if they wanted to just negotiate with Joe Lewis couldn't he surely overrule Daniel Levy?

Also isn't we in a pickle here in regards to the subsidiaries? Technically Daniel Levy I think can sell the football club and keep everything else under it that he has built through the clubs money? This should mean a sale/takeover/part investment would all be a much more complicated deal to do as nobody will want to pay him rent for the use of NWHL.

I'm not sure about the rest of the surrounding property deals but I'm pretty sure that the stadium belongs to Tottenham Hotspur plc or whatever it's called. All the loans for it were in our name iirc so it's part of the club, same as the training ground.

Use the link below and you can see the Stadium is registered by its self on companies house.

If I am correct in my thinking the way everything is done it is clever in a way as it fools fans. They posted a loss of 50m the other day but that doesn't include every financial report from each and every 'SPV' under the club.

This is the list of everything linked to Spurs that has been registered.

Dear custodians of our club
you can’t or won’t compete at the top level by investing todays money in our team
so let someone else have the opportunity who is willing to do so.
our great club is all that matters
please take your massive profits
and do what’s best for the club not your ego

Why do you believe JL wants out? His daughter seems pretty engaged by all accounts…

They bid last year and the papers are only just picking up wind of it according to a reliable poster on Coys. I don’t think there is anything in it, that bid anyway. But let’s see.
Which reliable poster was this? Hopefully Edmonton????

Agree being told this morning could be two more in today! Levy and Fabio been in deadline day mode from early this morning. A lot of clubs coming to them for deals as well as agents.
I was told two is the max in. But if we are realistic it will be just the 1 in.
Not including the youngster we already feel we have wrapped up btw, the Chelsea lad already signed so a different one.
Levy is showing why he is stil the best person for the job IMHO no matter what comes out before the end of the season with investment from USA or QSI.

Now it’s in the open I mentioned this US investment in January window.
Was told they were looking at the club to buy In.
They have been in dialog for a longer time I am told. Please not to be put anywhere else.
Personally I think they are trying to flush out other bidders. But the FT do have sources at the club I know this.

Looking a Grand Old Team, Everton ITK’s seem to think the link to us has and I will quote “no substance”

Now I know they have a vested interest in this as they are hoping for funding from this guy, but they do seem very confident

Cannot imagine that a potential investor would prefer Everton over Spurs though.
