News flash: Unbeaten streak means fuck all if you consistently fail to win. We've been boring as fuck and we've very rarely scored(in fact, only scored 3 since city. 2 penalties)

I wish we could get back to the good old days when every game was exciting, the days when we always had the chance of creeping into the top half of the table and always finished with a minus goal difference.
I am starting to think some supporters just can't deal with the pressure of challenging at the top of the league.

You mean the exact thing that every Tottenham fan has said every day for the last 2 years?

Well not really, there were a lot on here defending not buying a striker last season, even when Harry was kind of *it*. We had some geniuses on here suggesting that that chap who went to Peterborough, could step in as an able understudy :cautious:. Others were buying the 'Son and Njie can step into Harry's shoes' crapola. Clearly neither Son or Njie are CF's.

Have you watched Spurs this year? Did you watched Spurs in 13/14? Same shit, different year.

You really think we're challenging for the top of the league? Hahahah. Clubs that challenge for the league actually win games and arent content with largely settling for draws in the name of preserving an unbeaten streak.

Are we mid table? Are we not only three points off the top of the table and whether you agree or not that is challenging at the top and I don't believe anyone is content with a draw rather than a win.

this thread - which unfortunately reflects the content generated by many at SC is just pathetic
drowns out much of the good info and discussion

Dean Austin, Justin Edinburgh and Stuart Nethercott as our defencive foundation?

Oh, I cannot wait lol

People, evey team goes through a loss of form in a season. If our loss of form consists of 3 consecutive league draws then you are spoilt by our last few years and need to think back to the dark old days. And if you werent around then, maybe you should stop having such a sense of entitlement. There is a reason the word Spursy was invented!

Since city, in the league we have created 46 chances, had 34 shots, 17 on target.

In the 3 leading up to and including city we created 44 chances, had 45 shots with 21 shots on target.

Now I'm willing to concede we have not been playing to our full potential but your hyperbolic, hysterical ramblings are so far the other way it reinstates my belief that you are some kind of fan bot built by Adrian Durham to incite us.

Shocking isn't it - we are out of form! This never happened to any team!

There are so many seasons supporting Spurs where I would have loved to not be losing when out of form. Suffering 'shock' draws when missing the spine of our team whilst trying to play a new system against teams who don't really come to play football against us makes me frustrated, sure. But maybe it's a little early to be crying about it.

I just find it funny Zaha is cited as a would-rather-have option and Mane is a should-have-gotten option when things go doom and gloom.. Maybe wiljnadum's name will come out often soon I reckoned?

Should have gotten Batshuayi. Said we'd regret it if we didn't sign him. Regret is kicking in. (I know he isn't playing for Chelsea, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't be super good to have for us in Kane's absence).

Also why would we are lingering around buying players like njie , nkoudou and also sissoko? Surely we could pour all 3 of their wages and transfer fee into a one single player like mane and that would eventually help us not only right now but also for future as well ? or buying average players after players is a smart strategy ?

Name one £50m player whose wages we could actually afford.

I forgot that you're now mid table when you dont challenge for the league. Wow last years "title challenge" has really warped some peoples minds. Newsflash: we werent really challenging last year.

We should never have sold Johnnie Jackson. We'd be Kings of Europe by now.

Teams in the Prem cannot beat us.

I'd say that wasn't a bad stat.
