Wasn't around today to get on this forum so I've just read through the whole thread now, some buzz.Funny to see lads criticise Mason and Dembélé early on in the game and yet both turned in awesome displays.......one of the best days ever.........coys.

Real shame that he ruined what could've been a lovely, tender moment by shouting, and I believe this is a direct quote, "He's holding his hand! For me that's a definite penalty". This was in describing Townsend bringing 6'7" Mertesacker to his knees by touching his hand.

I wish I was joking, I really do.
Jonathan Pearce is a prize pratt-worst commentator on TV. He thinks everything is a penalty when the incident occurs. He also thinks everything is a sending off or a 2 footed tackle before he has seen the replay. Over dramatic and annoying.

I thought he was a brush of fresh air back in the day but since he has been on the BBC he is just annoying! That was never a penalty.

I liked listening to him on Capital Gold (God that's a long time ago:() but haven't been a fan since then, think he became a bit of a cartoon version of his original style

Best line on this site was about him and robot wars. Still cracks me up now. It was during the World Cup.

Love this report from the Sunday Times ..

Especially this bit ...

Whatever desire Arsenal had was channelled into defending their goal and they did this effectively for almost an hour. Yet they were like the dog that chases cars: eventually something bad is bound to happen. It came in the 56th minute, Mousa Dembele flicking on a corner, Ospina parrying it away and Kane steering it home at the far post.

No. I said in the exact same post we are doing the right thing.

Churning out young talent like an Ajax.

To stop Madrid or whoever cherry picking in 2 years time will only happen if we inject more investment into the club to pay higher wages and/or start winning things
Sorry bro, misread your post.

TBH, even if we win more and pay higher wages, we will still lose some players to some of the bigger teams. Even Man Utd couldn't stop Ronaldo from leaving.

Knee jerk?

How can my comment be a knee jerk? I was commenting on our consistently wasteful balls in to the box. We had no width, to many sloppy balls into the box, which was our problem first half, despite all the effort, we was let down buy the final ball etc... Yes we improved second half, but I made my comments at half time and I said nothing about winning, losing or drawing, or throwing the teddy out of the pram...

Just fuck off, your full of shit.

Way to spoil an excellent result you f..............
You know you're in trouble when Gammon gives you a medal. I'm glad you've untwisted your knickers as you appear to scrunched your nuts in the process, causing you to lose composure.

Was told earlier that our oldest player on the pitch today was Lloris at 28. Oh how bright the future once these kids have a season or two to gel!!

Average age 23.4 years.

Incredible given the side we were playing. The future is very bright indeed with a core of around five exceptional players. Come the summer if we can find a partner to help with Kane's workload and perhaps a standout AM, and winger we could have the fabric of one huge Spurs side.

Pritchard looking promising. Also hopefully we can get some money for our dead wood (don't like using that term, but I think this season it is justified to an extent).

Then we have Alli, Yahaya, Onomah, Carroll etc... who might be able to step up.

And Yedlin. Very interested in seeing how he progresses.

This team needs a proper right winger to step up to next level .As much as I like Lamela's work rate, I believe we need a better one. Even today we are being linked with Mirallas.

Mirallas in this XI give us certainly a greater edge.
