Whether you, me or anyone else thinks Grealish was/is good enough is neither here nor there - the club were set to bring him in prior to the takeover at Villa. But it does show the sort of money we had available for a CM - £20-25m - and also the sort of thing we were looking for. We could have got Torreira for that (correct me if I'm wrong), but he's not really the same sort of player. We also had info (from @Hercules I believe) that Poch knew he wanted to use Sissoko in CM having previously deployed him in the AM3.We've needed two midfielders with at least two years now, and much longer in actuality. An understudy for Eriksen when he goes through a spell like he is at the moment and one for Dembele because he was the only one who can receive a pass under pressure. Grealish isn't good enough so I'm happy we didn't sign him.
It's good to have you back, spurgz.
If nothing else, to start the process of adaption for when he's not here next season. He has to be the one to make way for Dele as soon as he's back
Feel a bit sorry for you if I'm honest, I'm guessing you don't get much pleasure from supporting Spurs...dry your eyes and try not to let a draw ruin your weekend mate lol.Nobody shouting here, justtalking senseentitlement, maybe after a few you can figure it
Relax, buddy. Have some boze.I don't mean to be so grouchy but bad spelling makes me loose it.
Yes and no. Clearly we’re not buying a 70 million player demanding 200,000 a week. But equally, we should be capable of landing a player in the bracket below. Dembele is gone, Wanyama is dead, Dier has been inconsistent. We’ve not spent a penny from our transfer budget for two seasons- the money should be there because Danny Rose in central midfield is about severe a form of nihilism I can imagineWhether you, me or anyone else thinks Grealish was/is good enough is neither here nor there - the club were set to bring him in prior to the takeover at Villa. Don't get me wrong, I think we need a new CM as well, but what we as fans want appears to be out of the club's price range at the moment, for pretty obvious reasons.
The refs are trying to figure this dilemma as we speak...
Your spamming the thread now mate with your low grade humor, why you on here now, thought you were going to the pub or is my opinion more important than your enjoyment, feel sorry for you mate...Feel a bit sorry for you if I'm honest, I'm guessing you don't get much pleasure from supporting Spurs...try not to let a draw ruin your weekend mate lol.

I see the knee jerk brigade is out swinging again. Once again some absolute sh*te is talked about our own players and our manager. We're not in turmoil and the sky isn't falling down on us. We're just horribly out of form. That's it. And it's been a long time coming.
Pretty much everything and everyone have been against us this season. The new stadium delay, no incoming players two windows in a row, selling Dembele, injuries to key players, post WC hang over and the list goes on. Considering we're third in the league 4 points above Arsenal and we're still in the CL with a very good chance of going further in the competition - We're overachieving when you take everything in to perspective.
This group of players and Pochettino have brought a new renaissance to this club, show them some respect and give them the benefit of a doubt and they'll sort it out.
Peace.
